I was a little suspicious when the Pats put Maroney on IR...

now i see why, this kid can run, and produces...maroney could have prob played again this yr...but with this kind of runner, why?

keep it up kid

Keep in mind the Broncos defense is horrible.

True. But, I thought he looked good and deserved a roster spot back in August. He looked solid tonight, and I am curious to see what happens next for him.

Nice bit of running but the Denver run D is quite terrible.
We might need to lean on the kid sooner than later though with Maroney to IR and Morris injured along with Jordan.

He certainly looked good, but let's wait and see how he does against a team which isn't so defensively inept.

Certainly seemed to have a good motor, always driving for that extra yard - which I would expect from an undrafted rookie trying to prove himself when given a shot.

yeah the broncos D is bad, but at least he ran hard. For his first "real" outing I think he did rather well.

I think Maroney might have Katzenmoyer syndrome.

Green-Ellis looked like a mid-round tailback. Drove hard, plays faster than he his, didn't do the best job of recognizing holes. That is expected of a rookie, though. Didn't have the best cuts when he should have gone against the grain, but he hit the holes hard. He can play ball, but he's no stud.

I thought BJGE showed some good moves tonight, and showed some power to boot. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Hilarious first career touchdown. He could have crawled in. I don't think Evans(?)could find anyone to block. Funny stuff.

Before you put him in Canton, can we see him play a few games? ;)

I dont know he looked worse then expected for me. Look it the way Morris ran, and then look at BJGE. Morris is not a highly rated RB, and still ran like a man tonight. BJGE was less than that. I think we would all have a different opinion of him if he can against a decent D.

He's learning, nice toughness and leg drive, his vision can improve a lot, Denver wasn't tackling well, but a nice effort to build on.

Morris was highly rated here on this board! He ran just as he did last year before he was injured.

Nice to see BJGE just putting his head down and hitting at the end of plays. And other than his first carry, I didn't see much dancing...

I am quite comfortable with Morris as the starting RB. His style suits the Pats offense perfectly. I'm hoping the injury is not serious.

no dancing.. some good power.. i like BJGE

Yeah, the positive was that the kid hit the hole hard and at least plunged for positive yardage when there was nothing there. Time will tell if he has the "vision" to be more than an average hard running back.

And what is WRONG with picking up an average hard running back as an UDFA? If Jordan is re-signed, we'll have five running backs in camp!

Green-Ellis ran like a guy who saw what happened to the last guy who danced in the hole. It'll be interesting to see him in a couple of weeks, after he shows us some moves.
