One of the things I am most proud of this team is that it is not dysfunctional like the Giants and Cowboys. Look at what Burress is doing to the Giants - confronting coughlin on the sidelines and yelling at the ref. And TO is about to explode in Dallas. :D It's actually kind of fun watching other teams self-implode. You would never see that here in NE. The players seem to respect one another and the entire coaching staff. Do you guys remember when the team was ever dysfunctional? I can't.

Too bad you can't say the same for the fans. :D

Yes I can
The Irving Fryar fiasco era and sundry other times like when our HC Chuck Fairbanks departed just before a playoff game where a dispirited Pats team got routed

Lisa Olsen?

It is kinda funny about a month ago Colin Cowherd said the Pats were so tightly wond that a little adversity was going make this team implode and then he compared them to the Cowboys and stated how the Cowboys were well adjusted and would be able to roll with the punches. I don't listen to his show regularly so I don't know if anyone called him out on this or not. I thought it was a ludicrious argument at the time and it even looks even more ludicrious several weeks later.

Lisa Olsen?

I was about to say that. Three idiotic players harass a reporter and get fined, the idiotic owner calls her a "classic b*tch" in the press, players are ratting each other out, all of that culminating in a 1-15 season.
That was a different era though. Different players, different coaches, different owners, different stadium. I'm sure glad those days are behind us.

I suspect that many fans all over the country would prefer to have the team the giants have this year.

You say that now. Let's see how things go if Eli turns back into Eli-Eli-Oh S#%@. :)

Thank God Kraft wasn't stubborn too or we may still have dysfunction or maybe Parcells was more to blame. but Owner wants one player Coach wants another and eventually coach decides to leave during the week leading up to a supre bowl.

EDIT: I am sure we will have dysfunction again but the key is like in Krafts instance is to recognize it and fix it.

You mean if he regresses from this year's 5-1 Eli to last year's Super Bowl wining Eli?

Funny, I don't think that's what I said. . . .

Tuna tapping his foot waiting for the SB to end so he could catch a plane to NJ.

Will McDonough broke the news of the Jets job before the SB. When the Tuner exited the tunnel onto the field, I remarked that based on the vacuous look in his eyes, we'd lost any chance to win the game. His mind was far away on his next job, not focused on game preperation and game tactics. At the time I hated the bastid for costing us a shot at winning a SB, something that based on the Pats horrific history and penchant for self-destruction at seemingly pinacles of success I wondered if I'd ever live to see again.

Thank you once again, Kraft, Belichick, Brady and the coaches and teams of 2001,3 and 4.

This is your definition of disfunction? They are 5-1. Who cares? BB and McDaniels were doing the same thing on the field at halftime of the Chargers game going into the locker room. Are they dysfunctional? The Giants are 5-1. That by definition is functional.
