The guys on ESPN talked about Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel today, and whether or not he deserves a vote of confidence:Cris Carter: “I don’t know why he’d get a vote of confidence because he hasn’t done anything to warrant it. Whose fault is it? – New England, they blew it. On a 53-man roster the [...]

Chris, you have my vote to replace Chris Carter on that show.

Chris Carter is a MOron.

Hey Chris, who did Dallas have to back up Tony Romo? Big win over the Rams today. Cretin!

It is absurd that we cannot establish a run game and take the pressure off of Cassel. With this "*great" line and stable of backs we should be able to change the identity of this team in order to help Cassel.

* I have doubted this line. The change to zone blocking has had inconsistent results, to say the least.

the line isn't that good. one of our few hopes is neal comes back and plays well. our center has gotten manhandled.

I think we have two major areas where we need to improve:

O-line so we can run consistently

and

pass rush

after those two the 2ndary.

I see Carter's point, but as a coach you do Nothing but support your QB even if you have to make stuff up.

If Tom Jackson is FOR Cassel I might have to rethink my position.

I dont know why you guys are getting on Carter. He has the right to his opinion either way. I also think that if you guys believe Cassel has been better than average you are only fooling yourselves. Cassel is bad. Maybe it is because he hasnt played, but this is the nfl. this is the patriots. we are winners. He has to step up. He hasnt played well, clearly. You cant use the excuse that he hasnt played since HS, he is on an NFL team and starting. Nobody is saying he has to be great, but he has to be average, or we will continue to stink.

Question: What is the Patriots record?

Compare it to 'average'.

Chris Carter is right at home with the other morons at Espn , except for Keyshawn.

Haha, your guys' favourite dude Tom Jackson is presenting the exact opinion of so many people on the board. What in the world is going on???

If you are going to Tom Jackson to support your opinion... you KNOW you're in trouble!

The idiots at ESPN are taking the easy approach of only looking at the QB play. Does this really tell the whole story? Not even close!
Has Cassel set the league on fire? No!!! But he's 3 and 2 with two of his wins coming on the road. P. Manning has not done that this year. Rivers has not done that either!
Cassel has been about as good as we could have expected.
Has his Oline done a good job to help take the pressure off him? NO
Has the running game stepped up to help take some pressure off him? NO
Has his defence stepped up on 3rd downs and gotten off the field so that Cassel can get in a groove? Not really. Not as much as they should!!

The guys who want to blame Cassel, whether its morons like Chris Carter or some of the pooches on this board, are only seeing a small part of the story.

I suspect there has been too much cocaine shoved up Mr. Carter's nose in order to have the slightest grasp on reality.

This is a team sport. If his "play" was costing the team games I rationalize your view of things, but it isn't, so I won't.

People here are gonig to get on Carter because he was one of the media who was hating without all the facts during spygate. Carter Sux and he is just hating on the QB because he feels his boy Randy should be putting up bigger numbers (which is true).

someone should tell cris carter that the dolphins called, they want their money back

LOL anybody heard a cell phone going off during countdown?
