When will Eli and the Giants fold??

They'll go 18-1. Lose in the Super Bowl to the Pats. :D

Granted the season is quite young, but it's interesting to note how many misses the majority of the media 'experts' have had so far in their predictions. Most dismissed the Giants, Redskins, Bears, Broncos, and Titans. The Browns were going to take over the AFC North and the Rams were going to rebound. The Falcons and Dolphins were still supposed to be terrible, and the Saints were supposed to breeze through the NFC South. And that's not even taking in to consideration teams that were predicted to do well but are down due to injuries, like the Jaguars.

Back to the original topic, I'm very surprised the Giants have received so little attention. They're based in the media capital, and largest market, New York, yet there's been more talk about the Titans than the defending Super Bowl champs.

Well, it doesn't look like they're going to fold up the tents anytime soon. And am I in a state of unconciousness or is Eli Manning really one of the best QBs in the NFL right now?

gimme a break you guys. the giants have not played anyone with a winning record so far. all this talk about the giants becoming the next patriots is BS. We saw sheli and the giants go into OVERTIME to beat the now 0-6 bengals. then they get torched by the browns on MNF. THey'll play the Niners this weekend. Then their schedule gets harder for the rest of the year - Pitt, Dallas, Philly, Dallas, Arizona, Carolina, Washington, Minnesota, to name a few. The giants will go 7-9 or 8-8.

That thud you heard Monday night was the Giants crashing back to earth; eli looked like his old self (94 yard INT TD, effin priceless) and their schedule gets brutal the further into the season they go as has been already pointed out.

I heard Giants fans are ripping Eli already; typical New Yorkers, with that effin arrogant sense of entitlement.

The Giant fans ripping on Eli aren't any worse than 90% of the fans here. Raging ADD.

Why would you rip on a guy who has led your team to a 4-1 record AND pulled the second biggest upset in Super Bowl history (Jets over Colts is and always will be #1)? You'd think he'd get cut a little slack, but not from the reports I've read and Giant fans I know.

What are the 90% you refer to ripping on; Cassel? BB? The Defense? Because if they are, you can't seriously blame them, can you?

I can blame them just five games into the season. I would have loved to see what people on here were saying week 5 into the 2001 season and how their opinions changed 14 weeks later. If, in the later part of the season, we are sucking it up then I will join in on the ripping. Just not at this point.

I think people are a little twitchy because of the way last season ended and the way this one began, many feeling 7:27 into the season it ended.

Whether that is right or not is certainly open for debate and as you said, time will tell.................

Welcome back Eli Manning. Glad to see your normal self again.

Not such a great performance by Eli. Nice TD to end the first half, and a great drive (thanks to the run game) to get into the red zone to make it a one score game. A little more zip, and placed a little better, and that pick turns into a completion.

IMO, the Giants defense should be just as accountable for this loss. They gave up too many big plays. Uncharacteristic of them.

Cleveland on a Monday night, against the defending (and undefeated) champs was not a good spot to be in.

I still ove Eli. He has made some terrific throws this season. A few bad ones, but he has proven he does belong. The further away he gets from the likes of Tiki, the better he becomes. HA HA! Tiki is a douchebag!

C'mon. Let me hear from the guys who made those lists about "busts" and overrated QB's!!

Looks like the Giants will be Giant killers two years in a row, beating the previously undefeated Titans in the Super Bowl when Eli, basically in the grasp of two defenders (both of whom are being ABSOLUTELY MUGGED by Giant O linemen with no call), breaks away and heaves up an effin prayer that gets answered when the pass gets stuck in Plaxico's azz, resulting in the winning touchdown on the final play of the game.

Then for the victory parade, they bring gap tooth back and he throws down a titan shirt and screams "WE stomped their azzes out!!!!!!!!".

There assclown, is that enough love for you?

Wahhhhhhh!!!

No, it's not. Plus, you are being sarcastic. LOL! Brady laughs at Plax....17 points??? For such jauggernauts, you shouldn't have been in that position in the first place. And of course, it's very rich, the complaining, coming from a Pats fan

lol obviously i was wrong. they have a very good team this year, but i'd like to see them play a good passing team. they haven't played any such team so far except for cleveland. next week against arizona should be a fun game to watch. carolina is pretty good passing team as well, which is coming up. then in the playoffs all the top division teams will be good passing clubs - green bay, arizona, carolina.

You had a point until you mentioned the Panthers. I like them, they have a nice balance of O and D. And I think Fox is one of the better coaches in the league. However, you might want to take a look at Delhomme's numbers the past few weeks. They are actually all about DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart(sp??). They ran for 250 today. Giants excel on both LOS's. If they have a weakness, it's their secondary. So, perhaps someone can game plan to stop that pass rush.

"Plus, you are being sarcastic."

No douchebag, I'm being totally serious..............I understand being a Giants fan you have a double digit IQ and all, but I didn't think even YOU were that much of a brain dead cementhead.

Thanks for proving me wrong.
