Here's a poll, two options. Real simple. Call it a research poll, the info stays public.

I'll edit the original post, as well, to include the best Fitzy-isms regarding Matty.

1) Sack up for the back-up.
2) It's no hassle, we've got Cassel.
3) Show some class, root for Cass.

Fitzy said it best....

Its time to sack up for the back up.

Re: Sack up for the back up.

I voted "I'm cautiously optimistic." but that is a lie. I am boldly optimistic. Nothing cautious about it.

Where is the "we are going all the way baby" option?

You have the "we suck" option and the "we might suck/ we might not suck" option. What about the "full confidence" option.

The poll options stink.

I know, I'm also ridiculously optimistic, but I wanted to keep it to 2 options. I knew "all the way" and "we suck" would cause more responses than cautiously optimistic.

Re: Sack up for the back up.

Cautiously optimistic. I don't think we're going all the way but I think we could make some noise later in the season if this defense gels at any point (I also think the secondary will improve by leaps and bounds later on in the year). I believe strongly that we could be wild card contenders.

with that just said im calling my bookie to bet against the pats

Re: Sack up for the back up.

I chose "writing off the season". This year gives us an opportunity to look at the team so that we can draft better next year.

Re: Sack up for the back up.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't see the Pats beating any good teams. It's hard to win when you're playing 12 against 10. Cassel is like a player for the other team. When I saw them putting the ball in Cassel's hands on 4th and goal at the 1, there was no doubt in my mind that Cassel could not execute. Cassel is one of those players that you have playing qb for the other team and you hope he doesn't get hurt so your team has a better chance of winning. You just know something bad is going to happen with Matt out there. He doesn't belong out there!! He's in over his head. Hate to judge the guy harshly when he's trying to do something that I could not do, but there is too much evidence against him and hardly any evidence for him.

I guess the terrible offensive line, injuries, and the lack of any running threat behind him (allowing teams to stack 8 in the box and bring the house on him) qualifies as hardly any evidence for him these days, huh?

brilliant as always

Well, I managed to get bad rep points and hate mail over this one. But I'm not in it for the love, I want to gather some fan-hood facts. I think being forced to go on record spooked some of ya.

Anyway, tonight is going to be a good indicator to a lot of us what Matt can do in uber-pressure.

I suspect we'll hear announcing that has written us off, as well.

Love to see more of you knob-lob and lock in a vote before tonight's game.

The very loud and minority group of Patriot hater type "fans" love to give out bad rep points...they ganged up on me because I happen to think BB is better suited to determine best starting QB and because I tend to be somewhat of a loyal supportive fan (dubbed homer).

Tonight is a huge test for MC, he needs to show he is learning and growing in his role.

I think he will do just fine tonight, sorry for my optimism and support of MC.
