the BFD is that it comes off as racist when the problem IMO has more to do with booze than gangs, race, or even security though this obviously could have prevented some if not most.
I have no problem with you being descriptive if the problem were only a San Diego Hispanic thing but the problem occurs all over the country with all types off people. I didn't see a descriptive word of drunk which I am sure was the case instead he called out the hispanics as a whole.
And the problem runs deeper than just sports too as you can always see groups of kids drinking that have nothing better to do than start fights on any major bar strip in any major city.
What's the difference between being accosted by a "group" of punks or a "gang" of punks? I believe Tuna also mentioned that the punks were teens or early 20's, making it more likely that they were not drunk (if they were, then its another problem). Gee, maybe it was like leisure Friday where the gang wore Merriman shirts. Who gives a rats asss. The whole point was that it was a very dangerous situation and one that San Diego authorities need to address ASAP.
