uh.............might be time to start looking in this direction.....McDaniels and certainly not Peas are making the cut at this point in their tenure with the pats.

just my .02

When Pees was our LB coach, Nick Saban tried to hire him as his DC and Belichick wouldn't let him go, then promoted him when Mangina left. Belichick and Saban both like him, I don't think he's the problem.

maybe so....but the D has just been terrible this year....where does the blame lay? i live in DC, and watched the rams D put pressure on jason campbell all day long sunday.....sacked him a few times...yet we did not even get within 3 feet of touch rivers.

The blame lies with BB and his defensive schemes. The Pats do not

have adequate personnel to execute them properly.

fair enough...though do you think he's over his head this season trying to control all aspects of the game??

Very much agreed. I am not saying that our defense doesn't have some problems right now but Pees is a great coach. Last year our secondary coach couldn't get the job done so Pees ended up taking over the secondary in addition to his DC responsibilities. This season we attempted to bring in a qualified coach to oversee the secondary and so far it is not working.

How is it that what Dom achieved 3 decades ago makes him immune to fault. I keep reading ridiculous posts about how he should replace Pees. Has anyone looked at the stats of any defense that he has been a part of for the last 5-6 years? They are consistently in the bottom third of league. Going into the season people raved about how his hiring would result in a great secondary and a great pass rush. Both of these have become worse, yet people are calling for him to become our new DC.

Am I the only one who thinks that it might be possible that Dom Capers has not been a good fit in NE?

how can i change my eugene wilson avatar??? its driving me nuts.

I agree in moving gloom and doom posts, but I actually think that this post was more of a neutral discussion and thus should not have been moved.
