Did anyone get a good look at him ? I'm not one of those who can watch all 11 players and the ball at the same time but when I watched him on pass protection he looked fairly decent. I wouldn't mind Kaczur missing a game, we know what we have in him and it's mediocre at best.

That was for the fumble recovery, I was wondering if others had input on his overall game - which looked pretty decent in pass protection from the small look I got.

That's why I'd like to see Kaczur miss a game, see what LaVoir does in a full game. Kaczur = Cassel for me.

If Levoir does well against the Broncos, and Kaczur is for the the Rams, I'd move Kaczur inside one, and drop Billy Yates, who IMO, is an accident waiting to happen.

I've noticed the same thing about Koppen this year also. It's becoming a trend that I don't like.

I guess I never understood all the praise for Scarnecchia. He has a rep of being a great coach but I don't see it. IMO, Their line has been underperforming for years. Yes, the offense had a bunch of great numbers last year but they could not always run the ball when they needed to. They relied on Brady and the WR's to make plays way too often. Now that Brady is out, the line is becoming more and more exposed. Who have the Pats developed as a lineman recently? Britt? Connlly? Of their whole starting line up, Light is the only one who is more than servicable. Mankins has regressed since the middle of last year(injury?), Koppen is average at best. Yates and Kaczur are blehh. Neal and O'C are hurt. LeVoir does look like he should push Kaczur for playing time so maybe he will be an improvement. I was surprised that some of the vets got cut during camp, Flynn and/or Welbourne couldn't be as bad as Yates/Kaczur. Hopefully Neal comes back and helps to shore this interior up. If not, it will be a long season on offense.

I'm in the same boat. Kaczur missing some time isn't that big of a deal. I would love for someone else to step up at RT. Kaczur has not been special over there.

I think Kaczur is taking an unfair beating. He's a good RT but I think he often is trying to keep an eye to his left. Sliding him to RG and keeping Levoir in might actually make the right side of the line really good.

Not sure why he needs to keep and eye to his left? I wouldn't mind trying him at RG, but Yates, Hochstein, and soon Neal are all ahead of him on the depth chart.

The OT play from Light and Kaczur has been pretty solid this season, the biggest issues with pass protection has come up the middle - hence giants of the media crowing over the blueprint to beat the Patriots. Predictable, but no less pathetic for being so.

That's what I'm saying. I don't know why Nick is this forum's O-Line whipping boy, but as is the board's MO - NEVER let the facts get in the way of a good rant.

Frankly, I think we'll see a better and reshaped O-line going forward. The success of the long ball on any team depends on the protection of the QB. Cassel is a good QB when he has like ONE second more than he's been getting. It's up to these guys to make that a reality.

That said, Kaczur's injury sounds like it COULD be serious. Ankle. Hopefully just a sprain.

BOR, Nick's been one of the whipping boys for a couple of years now. But, don't worry. If the Patriots lose to both the Broncos and the Rams, every single player will get his turn in the barrel as the frustrated bandwagoners go ballistic.
