I think he played for Atlanta last year. He was very serviceable...brought them back, showed poise, accurate....but what do I know.

AT the risk of sounding like a troll....I thought we had him signed once, maybe they could get him?

Not that I'm off the Cassel bandwagon, I just think he needs a break, maybe learn under someone for a few weeks. I hope his confidence isn't shot, because he has a laser arm much of the time.

yes, I know the playbook isn't that easy, but maybe a vet could pick it up.

Please, just stop.

Troll Alert!

The poster 'pretends' to be a Cassel fan, posting seeming praise for the player while seeking to entice criticism. Look up all the threads started by this Jets fan and you'll see. Same old, same old.

I've started maybe 3 or 4 threads. Yeah.

Anyway, I thoguht Redman was pretty good. A serviceable QB. Am I wrong?

That's what the pats need now. Cassel has great promise and a laser arm, but his pocket presence needs work. And making reads, etc.

Like a lot of JAGS he has shown a couple of brief flashes of NFL promise in an eight year career. He is under contract to the Falcons through 2009.

And you are becoming the definition of a resident troll.

You have 70 posts, you have started too many negative threads and at least ONE of them has been completely deleted by the Mods.

It time you started focusing on your work and not calling for the trade/cutting of half of the Patriots Starting Defense.

Sigh...can we lock this thread. There are enough Cassel bashing threads in this forum.

This defines the "Belichick screwed up by having Cassel as the backup" crowd. Chris Redman. Right. You think he'd be closer to Cassel or Brady ? This is the whole point, you can't have a backup who can play in the same universe as Brady.

I haven't started any negative threads at all.

One thread I started called for congrats to Cassel for SF. So many negative jagoffs like you got on insulting me and calling me a troll that it was deleted.

So yeah, it was a negative thread BUT NOT BECAUSE I STARTED A NEGATIVE THREAD. It was negative because jerks like you insisted I couldn't possibly be really congratulating Cassel. Although I have never said anything even half as critical of him as others.

I didn't say he's in the same universe as Brady. Just that he has enough experience and pocket presence to help. Cassel is a potential star, OK, I went overboard in thinknig he was already there...but he needs to work on pocket presence and reading defenses...it would help if someone like a vet were around.

Why don't you repeat your list of players that should be Cut and/or released. Seeing how that thread was closed.

I never insulted you. Never. I questioned your Football I.Q. - BUT NEVER INSULTED YOU.

However, you just called me a "jagoffs like you" and "jerks like you"

I mean seriously. Come on.

You talking about my rebuilding thread? I just said they should be cut or whatever NEXT year, not right now. And it was just Vrabel and Seymour. The others I said would retire (Harrison, Bruschi), and they most likely will.

Ok, Vrabel and Seymore "cut or whatever".

This your actual statement:

"Get rid of Vrabel, Seymour, Bruschi retires, Harrison retires, Sanders cut."

It would be nice if you recanted your insult argument, as you know I did not say that.

OK, you weren't the one insulting me in teh other thread saying I was a troll for congratulating Cassel. That thread was deleted, and I thought that was the one you were referring to.

Anyway, Vrabel likely retires next year, he's pretty old anyway. He'll be 34 before next year. Bruschi likely retires. So no need to cut them.

Seymour may retire for all I know, or he gets cut. That's the only cut I said then. What does he get next year, 9M? He got tooled by McNeil on a few plays last night.

Time to rebuild already. BB likes his old veteran linebackers even when they are long in the tooth and can barely walk.

You said Sanders should be cut as well.

Where do you think we should go to get all of these Defensive players?

Is there a new "Defensive Players are Us" store that I'm unaware of?

BTW - I accept your apology for calling me a Jagoff and Jerk - I did not see it in your reply, But I'm sure that was just an oversight on your behalf.

Matt is not the reason the Pats were stomped on by the Chargers. He don't play cornerback or safety. The piss poor play of the defensive backfield was the contributing factor to the beatdown. Randy Moss' two dropped passes didn't help either even though both were underthrown.

Well the people who called me a troll for contratulating Cassel were such jaggoffs and jerks.

OK, sanders gets cut as well, that's not a big deal though, lots of JAG players get cut.

I don't know, free agency etc. They were supposed to be drafting them but that hasn't worked out so well. The best laid plans are ending in ruin apparently.

I do know that getting no pash rush and having a poor OL are not good. Brady may come in and fix everything just by his presence, but I still think they need to think rebuilding.

The Chris Redman that was drafted by that QB powerhouse, the Ravens, and could never become their starter, hurt his back because he was hit many times, missed almost a full season due to injury, was cut by the Ravens despite the fact they still don't have a quarterback, picked up in the off season by the Pats, but never even made it through training camp, that Chris Redman?

What are you?
