You didn't create Tom Brady. You got lucky drafting him. You can't replicate him. Your system didn't "make" him.

Again, for clarity: The player makes the system, not the system the player.

What are you asking for ? Brady isn't coming back this year, we're making the best of it. So our offense isn't as good without Brady. Thanks for the bulletin.

What do I want? How about a little better foresight from our Genius coach? How about realizing Cassel is a mamaluke 4 years ago, incapable of filling half of one of TB's shoes? How about immediately trying to pick up a veteran when TB went down (if not way before)? How about not relying on a kid with no college experience to lead a team that a year before was one of the most potent offenses in history??????????

Or how about giving the guy you spent a 3rd round pick on a chance, when you could have spent that pick helping the defense that is now giving up 30 ppg?

or how about calling culpepper and giving him some cash?

Sorry all the ball boy positions are filled.

Are you serious? Are we still talking about Culpepper? Have you seen the Pats o-line play? Even when Culpepper was good all he did was run around in the backfield until either Moss or Carter got open. He can't run around in the backfield anymore. And he also can't read defenses.

I would be open to bringing in a veteran as a back up who might end up starting in a month or two, but Culpepper is the last guy I would bring in.

Matt Cassell can't read defenses, either.

Cassell has one or two reads...if it's not open, he pulls the ball down and runs with it.

Culpepper is a much MUCH better option. Look at his 2004 season. 39 TDs. Only 13 to Moss. Moss missed 5 1/2 games that season after going down to injury in the Saints game.

If Culpepper stats were inflated because of Moss, then what would Cassell stats be without Moss? Cassell sucks WITH Moss!

How many times have Cassell thrown to Randy in the end zone? Does Cassell know how to throw a fade pattern in the end zone? I haven't seen him throw ONE fade to Randy yet. Line Randy in the slot and let him go one on one with a DB in the corner of the endzone. No DB can jump with Randy IF the ball is thrown up HIGH.

It's either O'Connell, Culpepper, or sticking with Cassell until this team is out of the playoff hunt.

There's no way to replace a HoF QB. Sorry.

Pats don't need a HoF QB to backup Tom Brady.

Just a NFL quality backup QB...with COLLEGE and NFL QB experience.

All this talk about Cassel. Yeah he's no TFB. We know that. Never the less we would be doing VASTLY better if our O-line could block worth a crap. I pin our lack of offense mainly on the O-line. Did you see Koppen getting BLOWN UP on the goaline? Cassel was pressured hard all night. No quarterback can do well under those kind of circumstances.

What the hell.

Did you not see him fail to hit a wide open Randy Moss for a TD not once, but twice tonight?

Or failing to see/hit a wide open Ben Watson twice in the endzone tonight?

Cassel is horrible, he doesn't know how to make quick reads, can't hit a wide open Randy Moss and god forbid the blocking isn't perfect you can consider the play dead with him.

The O-Line gave Cassell enough time to make passes most of the time. It's one Cassell to read the defense and get rid of the ball in time.

There were a number situations where a receiver was open and Matt just could not get him the ball. He is who he is.

Now back to the point of the "experiment is OVER" - what the Hell do you want?

Being that you're new here, I thought i'd point this out to you. The posters on this board prefer facts. So when you say things like "Cassel makes a read then pulls it down to run", please include some facts to back this up. Like these for instance;

Cassel ran 7 times for 29 yards tonight. For the season he has run 18 times for 58 yards. Thats hardly alot. Also, could you include how many of those plays were the result of a breakdown on the o-line, or perhaps recievers not getting open.

Also, the Culpepper fan club is meeting tomorrow night on the espn patriot board. :D

I'm always amazed at what people think they see in a game. Jamal was on his game last night and Koppen was no match for him alone. Yates has been below par this season too. Jammer had Moss by the short hairs in the game portion I've seen so far, and Cromartie, Cason, & Weddel does not sound like a soft secondary, even for Brady.

Culpepper is out of football because he sucked - Cassel has yet to play a game where he has sucked anywhere close to the stinkers Culpepper routinely produced.

Culpepper is out of football because he routinely produced stinkers?

You can't back that claim because it's not true. I would love for you to produce some evidence of that.

I find it funny how everyone says the chargers d sucks. During the offseason, everyone on here agreed that they have a great secondary. I must have missed the part where they suddenly became crap.

Please, for the love of God, get Cassell out of there, I could have told you this was a loss waiting to happen since a while back. Get him outta there, he just doesnt get it, nothing worse than a QB who's not quick minded enough to throw away the ball when clearly he's about to get sacked. How could he be so goofy like that? Where is O'Connell?

Jeez...Can you also sign up Lynch for some experience, what's another mil a year for someone like him.

The team looks fantastic otherwise. At least agaisnt the 49'ers it did, especially the D, D-Line and Special teams (Great Positionning!). Even our O-LINE RULED, did you see those smacks Patrick Willis got? The 4 RB system is genious too.

I dont know what were they thinking of making Cassell pass twice in a row on San Diego's 1-2 yard line, that was the ugliest sh!T I've ever seen, Bill, you the man! Fix this! PATRIOTS FOR LIFE!

The QB is killing the whole team spirit, I cant believe the guy is still out there, arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh/

:disagreement:
