Kindof classless IMO - I guess he was down to just a few games a season as it was - though I'm not sure if that was by his design or theirs...

I know a lot of fans hear Johnny Most when they think of Celtics coverage from way back but for me its watching games and hearing him wax poetic about "Wawwy Berd" - not to mention seeing clips of Cous playing point in his prime seemingly inventing the no-look pass, hardly ever seeming to pass the ball where he was looking.

Thanks Cousy - you deserve better!

Agreed. If he wanted to do a few games this year the network should have signed him. He's been a part of the Celtic family for close to 60 years. He was gracious when asked about it and you have to wonder how into it he would be being 80 years old.

Cousy and Heinsohn have green blood ... but really I would love to see all of them changed including Gorman. The Celtics telecast is way old and boring ... same tag lines, same complaints and very, very boring. I can predict most of what they will say before they say it. They are all old school. I can tolerate them because I'm 49 ... but a younger person must go crazy watching them do the game.

Would have been nice to see Cousy let go in a better way but is there a better way ... really ... this is business and Cousy was way boring.

you have got to be kidding me i'm 23 and still love them, i give up some of my season tickets to games just to listen to them

Some of my favorite telecasts are when Cousy, Heinsohn and Gorman are in the booth. Cousy is a great balance to Heinsohn...especially in those days not so long ago when the Celtics weren't that good.

Edited to add that this is a classless move by CSN.

I agree with this but we are talking about Comcast.
I so think it will be interesting what will happen after Heinsohn leaves, it will not be too much longer either after this year or next. Will they leave Donny Marshall with Gorman full time. I hope not I think he is rather boring in the booth, there is only so much I can hear bout his "great" basketball career all 119 games of it. I hope though that they Cedric Maxwell in. He is a Celtic star with great stores about the old Celtics and I think rather interesting.

i could not disagree more.

For those of us that is rather mad at the way that Cousy was let go here is the E-mail for Comcast contact list (not an individual e-mail, this is for people's comments).
