Last weeks "little" gathering snowballed into a full 3-4 family viewing and eating affair akin to the SuperBowl. I have no idea why -- are fans Pats starved for some good news?? Maybe the 4pm start time rolls right into dinner.....

This week will be different yet again. I really hate waiting all weekend for the game to start at 8pm.

Since my daughter has a soccer tournament, I will probably bank the credits and go to her games all day, missing the other NFL games. And then hole up in the man-barn with Shazam for the game. No big affair.

Whats your plan?

I'm on my way to Nashville to visit my Grandchildren. the game will start an hour earlier there. So, I'll get all the kids in their Pat's gear and watch the first half with them, they are big fans!

It's thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, so I've got family stuff all day. THe TV will be on, but will mostly feature sports involving small white balls or or frozen rubber. One that's too slow for me to follow and one that's too fast, lol.

Anyway, I've got little ones so we'll be headed home by six or seven and get the kiddies tucked in. Then me and the wifey shall enjoy a wicked-beatdown on the tube. Presumably, the Pats throttling the Chargers. By a bunch. :beatingcoming:

I have a large Thanksgiving event on sunday night with the family. I wondered how to play this one but then decided to go for honesty. I simply told all my family members that I had to leave at 7:30 pm regardless of when dinner was ready or who was doing what.
I got some "you've got to be kidding" disbelief from some of my family but I can live with that. I suggested we start early and by and large this has been accepted.
For me, I will pretty much do anything for anyone at any time. But, for 3 hours each week, regardless of when that 3 hours falls, its mine and no one can mess with it. Not girlfriends, not family, not work. Taking 3 hours for yourself each week for something you have been very passionate about for 30 years is not a bad thing to do. I've just decided to be very up front about it and will not let anyone for any reason encroach upon it. There is no grey area with this one!!!!!

Rich

Big football weekend for ScottieC!

Going to the Atlanta Falcons game this Sunday (I hope they loose) and the Georgia Vs. Tennessee game on Saturday (I hope Georgia destroys them).

But I will be at the house watching for a good showing on Sunday night! Can't wait!

Probably a typical football sunday for me as I'll start watching the games at 2pm. I am looking forward to the Pats game being on NBC as they have on there website, a option that allows you to pick from any of the different camera angles. I always have my laptop next to me during the games and this should be a neat bonus.

Going over a buddies house cooking out and drinking beer all day leading up to the game

Amongst my friends, we call the the "Honest Manhood" approach. Just tell em what you need... I like it!

Driving back Sunday from a Saturday wedding in Maine. Stop by the seashore for a late lunch. Get home and do some stuff. Later, get a pizza from the local Exeter trailer park convenience store and watch SD disgrace themselves on national TV.

Whoops, gotta shower and go to that wedding.

same thing I do every game...watch it with my brother. And durring the game, make many comments that start with "if brady were playing....."
