Brady had surgery Monday

Brady's MCL must have healed faster than expected because the orginal prognosis was for him to wait 6 weeks for his MCL to heal before he has surgery. It took about a month. I take this as a positive sign.

I think the original estimate was anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks, so he's on target with that. But you're right, always better to be on the low end of the estimate rather than the high end. It means your body is healing well and he's not being stupid and doing anything he's not supposed to.

Good luck Tom!

The original was that they would give the MCL 4 weeks, not to heal completely, but for the swelling to go down and then they would do the ACL procedure.

Alright. Good news on the surgery. Rehab starts soon. Hopefully TB will be ready to go, and better than ever in 2009

Hope TFB is feeling OK. Post-surgery can be a painful and delirious time.

Is there anybody here who doesn't think Brady will be more motivated than ever to have a monster year next season?

He loves to play and barely saw the field this year. He was already a workout warrior and I gotta believe this will elevate him to a higher level, especially when coupled with the missed opportunity from last season.

Does the team have any kind of address for get well cards or anything?

Good thing I didn't know that was going on on Monday. I probably would've nervously paced around the office all day and not gotten anything done. Instead of sitting in my chair and logging onto patsfans.com and not getting anything done.

Best of wishes to TB in his rehab. It still hasn't quite hit me the sheer football-awesomeness of which we've been robbed of this season by being deprived of watching him quarterback the New England Patriots [no offense to Cassel who I fully support and think good things of].

Yeah, and if we thought THIS offseason crawled by... sheesh. The next one's gonna be BRUTAL.

Why didnt he have surgery with James Andrews? He's only the best sports surgeon in the world.

Get well soon, Tommy. Come back next season and kick some ass.

why did he have surgery in LA ?. Shouldnt he be close to foxboro to rehab and work out ? has brady lost his drive ???

PS:sarcasm intended-as i expect some of these posts coming up.

I heard he will be on crutches for about 1-3 weeks and then rehab - Sounds perfect for getting back to training camp in July - Hopefully

Good to hear the surgery went well. Hopefully he'll be fit for next season.:)

Hopefully report is correct and he can continue to be a quick healer.
