I used to think Rodney didn't have a shot and not because of merit. HOF voters generally love numbers and Rodney didn't get enough Pro Bowl love so I figured he would be kept out. Becoming the only member of the 30-30 club however I have to think he'll get some consideration. Throw in at least 2 SB rings and that he was a leader and defensive captain and perhaps he'll get some votes. The HGH suspension may or may not offset the 30/30 but it will be interesting.

I think he'll make it, won't be first ballot or anything but he'll make it.

Rodney is a lock.

30/30 is all he should need but 2 super bowl wins and 4 appearances dont hurt.

He'll get in,I just dread all the BSPN etal "debate" that will go on when he comes up for voting.

He will probably get in, but he will have to wait several years. The voters are not going to look kindly on his dirty player reputation. Like Michael Irvin because of his drug use, the voters will make a statement and not vote him in too quickly.

You have to be the greatest at your position, during your playing tenure. Can we say that about Rodney?

You don't have to be the greatest. You gotta be one of the greatest. If you have to be the greatest, then either Brady or Manning wouldn't get into the HOF at QB which is ridiculous.

Ok, ONE of the greatest. Semantics behind us now, is Rodney one of the greatest?

Rodney Harrison will not make it into the HoF. The only people from this team who will make it into the HoF are Brady and Belichick and Randy Moss (he's not a definite in my mind.)

Harrison is one of my top five favorite players on the team right now but when you look at the players who have still to make it into the HoF I can't make a case for Harrison.

I agree, but I think that you can make a good arguement for Rodney.

However, I diagree with just those three - There are a few more that could make it, Wilfork and Welker have a shot if 1. Vince continues to play at a high level and 2. Welker stays with Brady.

Randy's a lock now, 2007 put him in (combined with his Viking's resume) - Up until last season I would say he had a chance, but not difinite.

One of the over riding factors in getting in the HOF is that you have to have a sponsor. Like Tip had Borges - Brady and Bill will have a large group lobbying for them, but Randy might have some issues as he had many times alienated the media.

Rodney should make it to the HOF. I don't know if he will but he should.

And there has been people here who think Rodney has lost it. I don't know how anyone can say that if you watched the game yesterday. Sure he may have made one mistake in coverage, or maybe not, we don't know for sure.

But he was flying around the field yesterday and his play led to 2 turnovers. And the tackle he made on the WR for a loss, I thouhgt it was one of those "younger and faster" players at first.:cool2:

Rodney's a beast and there are very few others I would want back there, Troy P. and Ed Reed.

You should put Rodney back on your Sig. line - Bring your Brady sig. back next year.

Yep-the dirty player stuff and the HGH too will probably land him on a 'waiting list'. I never thought Rodney was a dirty player-he doesn't belong on the same list as Romanowski and so many others-and most players say they love him on their team. It's playing against him they don't like. He's tough, one of the best at his position imo.

I am biased... now with that out fo the way. I believe Rodney will make it into the HOF. As other's have pointed out I too think it will take him a little while to make it in though.
