It true! If Cassel wasnt such a bust and a failure Mayo wouldnt have had to be on the field so much and he wouldnt have gotten hurt.

Mayo would still be healthy if Kevin O'Connell was the starter!!!

I'm tired of all these Cassel bashing threads even if it a sarcastic mocking of Cassel bashing.

Any chance we can stop all these stupid threads ?

note to self: Patriot fans are reeeeaaaallllyy serious. Dont make them do any unneccessary reading or try to inject a lightness to this very, very serious area of their lives or it might upset them.

Wholy Crap this may be the worst the thread I have ever seen. And I have seen some bad ones and I have created some bad ones of my own.

Even if we could come to a consensus that Cassel sucked (which we can't yet noone knows) it is one big stretch to say he caused an injury because the De was on the field more than it should have been. WOW

here is another one for you.

It is Troy Browns fault Brady has an ACL tear. If he could have just made this team he would have been returning punts and would have returned a punt to the house and Brady would have been on the sideline instead of getting hit by Pollard.

Hahahahaha. You know something, you guys are much too smart and I stand corrected. Matt Cassell did not cause Jarod Mayo's injury. I have no excuse for ever saying such a thing and from now on I will be more responsible in my accusations. I should have known that Patriot fans were really smart fans and would not for a minute stand for such a thing. Its not like they are bandwagon, knee-jerk, ungrateful, humorless, frontrunning morons like Steeler fans. Nothing like that at all. ;)

No one is holding a gun to your head to be here. Sometimes if you have nothing to say it is better to say nothing at all.

This bye week is reminding me a bit of July. It's pretty slow around here

Who said I dont want to be here. Im a huge Patriots fan and I think Matt Cassel did a very good job against the Jets. In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if they got it together and had a 10-6 season, which I would be very pleased with given Brady's injury.

I have been quite disappointed in the things many others have posted here and the whiney behavior of Patriot Nation because they had to nerve to lose a game.

If you, and others, dont care for my attempts at mocking this revealed attitude of such a large group of so-called, Patriot fans, dont read it.

Nobody is putting a gun to YOUR head to read it.

You have me totally confused because if you were for real it was ******ed and if you were joking well it just wasnt funny.

Cassel isn't a bust at all. By the end of the year he'll be in the top 10 in the league.

He's in his 3rd game since high school!

His third game starting since high school, he has played in more than 3 games since high school (I would hope) ;)

It isn't always easy to notice when someone is joking in writing especially when what they are saying isn't funny even if you knew they were trying to be.

Jerod was on Patriots today or weekly or whatever the show is and had no cast on. That was shot leading up the bye so it's obviously just a caution measure for practice.
