We're in a sad state of affairs when special teams is the answer thus far, yet Randy Moss and Wes Welker are on your team.

Gostowski = Team MVP

I think We need to be a little more specific. The Kickoff Return Team has been very good.Ellis Hobbs is running hard and using his blocking well.

On your Jeff Garcia sig, he last played for the 49ers in 2003 and since then has played for Cleveland, Detroit, Philadelphia and Tampa Bay. What makes you think he is the answer at this point in his career? Saying he is better than Cassel or shown to be in his career is not enough because in order to get him you need to spend a draft pick so he MUST be a fit here and he MUST be able to quickly pick up the offense and play well.

Philadelphia Eagles (Previous season's record: 6-10 / Last place in division)

Year: 2006
Record: 6-2
TD/INT: 10/2
Final Result: NFC East Champions (1-1 Playoffs)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Previous season's record: 4-12 / Last place in division)

Year: 2007
Record: 8-5
TD/INT: 13/4
Final Result: NFC South Champions (0-1 Playoffs)

As much as I cringe when Hobbs returns kicks, he has done very well putting the offense in good field position to start a drive.

I'm not sure Garcia can make the transition from the west coast offense to the Pats' scheme. He's been succesful in San Fran, Philly and Tampa who all use similar "west coast" style schemes. He didn't fare so well in Detroit and Cleveland, teams which use different schemes. Also on those turnarounds, I don't think he was solely responsible for them.

This is sad.....but true....Gostkowski has been solid thank gawd.....and lets be honest...he needs to stay healthy because in the Cassel era...HE will be our SCORING........or at least that is the way it looks thus far......Also overall ST play has been good....and Hobbs return game last week is the only real bright spot......

This is depressing.....can we change the subject??? ;)

Throw out that last game. For whatever the reason, the team was not giving their full and best effort (at least I hope no one really thinks they were otherwise we're in BIG trouble.)

So looking at the first two games there's actually quite a bit to be excited about. The secondary has been better than I've thought, our depth at RB is going to be especially important and helpful as well.

Oh come the hell on, that's a pathetic exuse.

This board has become so delusional after this loss that we're resulting to "We weren't really trying!"

Ugh.

Chris Cooley's?

special teams and secondary imho
