He was a great WR. I miss him.

Wes Welker>>>>>>>>>>>>Wayne Chrebet.:banned:

LOL, right. Sure.

What was the point of making this thread again? I don't miss Wayne Chrebet. I hated the guy.

Guys, comparing Chrebet to Welker is like comparing a flashlight to a star...

LOL!!!!!!!! (wink-wink)

....I thought he was the Green Lantern? :)

I think it was in response to the Troy Brown tribute. Some Jets fans think Wayne can compare to Troy. As a reciever - sure, sans the game altering playoff/SB moments ;).....but as an overall player? Nope. Never.

Welker is a YAC guy. Chrebet was pure possession receiver, read coverages and sat down in the holes.

Yep, he was a real good receiver. One of the few Jets I actually liked. Tough SOB, too.

Co sign. Hating him would be like hating Troy Brown.

Great player. Welker has one great season under his belt, so I think it's premature to make the judgment that he is better so early in his career. Chrebet played with a lot of heart and a lot of skill for years.

Hard to hate Chrebet, not that he was the best, or even close to the best, it was his story. Small school local white kid, not a big guy, undrafted walk on, beat the odds to make the team. He was kind of an every man.

That's okay. They thought Lord Favrequad would win them the division.

Yea he was a tough SOB. Deep respect for Wayne Chrebet.

He had some uncanny ability to get wide open at the worst possible time. Never understood how he semmingly would disappear in a crowd and reappear wide open in the flat ... hated when that happened.
