Lifer You can be a big a douche as you want but I am still not sold on McDaniels yet. Mock me if you will for askign the question. I love BB and the Pats. I am still bullish on the Pats in 2008. I still think we will have a great year but I am not drinking the Josh McDaniels Kool Aid yet. Im not saying he is a bad coach I am saying that to me he is still unproven and I still have questions about whether he is a top shelf coordinator.

I think you can pretty much say the same thing about ANY coach who doesn't have top notch assistants.

Look at Parcells in Dallas-he wasn't nearly as successful b/c his assistants were average(at best). Or look at Andy Reid in Philly-he's lucky that Jim Johnson is too old to get an HC gig-otherwise, he would be another Steve Mariuchi clone.

Pt being that all, I mean ALL elements have to work. The best coaches know this, and they know how to pick top notch assistants. Look at Mangini-he hasn't been very successful b/c he has no clue how to put together his coaching staff.
