Remember Drew? he stood in the pocket all day. Is it Cassel or The O Line? Tom Brady seemed to make this O line look great (except fo Justin Tuck and Co.

The right side was a revolving door today. Cassel seems to have trouble feeling the pressure and only moves at the last minute, but there are pretty large protection problems.

Its the OL. It seems the only QB who can play well behind them is the greatest of all time. Anything short of him and they are exposed.

Cassel will get hurt soon. He has no idea when he is going to get nailed.

I think it is more the O Line, and the TE's haven't helped out. Brady is a HOF so he definitely will make them look better, but that doesn't mean they are this bad. As usual, the truth lies somewhere in between.

Cassells internal clock seems to be on Pacific Standard Time (3 hours behind)

Both parties have to help one another (the QB and the OLine) together as a unit. It's pretty clear that both parties have to share the blame.

Nick Kaczur is a very bad RT and Matt Cassel has no concept of slight movements in the pocket to slide left or right or to even step up to buy himself just that extra second to get the throw off, piss poor pocket-presence.

Both parties are at fault.

Cassel does need to make better decisions back there, but I have really been down on the O-Line since the second half of last season.

Which is just about when the national media started heaping praise on them for being so good.

At this point, I don't think the O-Line does one thing above average.

O-Line.

Look what they did to Brady in the SB and the 1st game of the season.

Look at how many "holes" the RB's are getting.

The SB showed all the other teams what to do against the Pats, and they've been doing it.

QFT

The O-line has been a problem since late last year. The SB REALLY exposed them. Even Brady couldn't make them look good.

The super bowl showed that when Justin Tuck, Michael Strahan, and Osi Umenyiora are on the same team the offensive line is bad.

The fish defense was allowed to commit so heavily because it was cassel, but the o-line was porous.

Cassel is far more mobile than Brady. He's also quicker to run than Brady. The notion that he's some sort of 'statue' in the pocket just makes no sense to me.

our oline has always been inconsistent. we are just spoilt by brady taking all those hits and hitting receivers that we never cared to notice in the wins.if manning had taken the hits brady took and iam not talking about the SB then you wouldve heard from him . this is an example sacks dont matter-our oline gave up very less sacks but brady has been hit a LOT during his career.but no one stands in there , takes a hit and makes a completion . not even manning.cassel of course doesnt.

I disagree Brady is slippery and cassell is well...not very slippery for lack of a better word.

Maybe Brady is just more decisive in the pocket in terms of getting rid of the ball.

Of course he is, but that's a different issue.

Cassel might run faster than Brady but that doesnt mean jack. Cassel has ZERO pocket awareness. Brady is one of the best I've ever seen at feeling pressure & moving around in the pocket to buy enough time to get the pass off ( all while continuing to look downfield ). Cassel is the exact opposite of Brady in this regard.

Again, being a statue means that you drop back and really can't move around. Cassel is not a statue.
