Reasons to worry:

1. Chad Pennington's mighty arm.

2. #1 stud rookie LT to protect abovesaid QB.

3. Ted Ginn Jr.'s amazing return prowess and also his status as a top 1st round pick weapon at WR!

4. A rejuvenated Ricky Williams.

5. The Tuna Effect.

Are you not afraid? You should be!

Don't forget the AQUAAAH4Ever effect.

You forgot to factor in Joey Porter. That dude is motivated.

i personally think this will be a closer game than most people expect. no matter how bad they typically are, miami somehow always plays us close. we'll definitely win, but i wouldn't take this game too lightly if i were one of the players.....but i'm not, so oh well. BB won't take it lightly, that's for sure.

any given sunday...just not when you're against the pats haha.

Dont forget Snowflake the dolphin I heard he's the Dolphins secret weapon come sunday.:singing:

except for last year.

It was going to be a very close game, and then Joey Porter saw a microphone.

My sarcastic machine is broken so I will simply say: ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?:rolleyes:;)

And don't forget that Dr. Z ranked the Pats #2 overall in his power rankings. That's like the kiss of death or something!

Dolphins have no chance .......NONE!

Fortunately for Mattie, Jason Taylor will not be playing Sunday in Foxboro.

last year was different in a lot of ways....

Yup, last year was different because we had Brady to Moss and Welker. And they had Cassel to Taylor. This year we don't have Brady but but we still have Moss and Welker and they don't have Taylor (or Thomas) either. All they got is Joey and Noodle...

And while I don't doubt Noodle will put up a fight, but he doesn't have Coles and Cochery either...since Eric and Brett got custody of them in the divorce.

The only shot Miami had was that this team could overlook them due to mediocrity. Joey took overlooked off the table by playing the disrespect card for us...early and often.

I always respect every opponent irrespective of what their record is or what individual players guarantee.

So, yes, it is possible that the Fins can defeat us, but not that probable IMO.

only if pigs form their own air force.

Agreed. I think after how last season ended, we would be a bit more cautious in terming upsets "impossible". Even though I'm picking the Patriots, and think they'll win going away, it's foolish to ever rule anything out.

How soon we forget.

Any given Sunday aside, last February we were facing a team that managed to win its way to the Superbowl out of the 6 hole. Miami has won one game in it's last 18 tries...

The last time they beat us at home was 19 games ago for them. That was with Matt Cassel at the helm and Reche Caldwell as his #1 before he sat for fringe roster receivers and Taylor and Thomas on the field throughout. It was pre Moss and Welker (although he played for Miami that day...). Came down to a 2 point conversion we'd just as soon have missed since we were playing backups for playoff seeding and they were playing starters for Saban's ego...

The only way this is close to competitive is if the team overlooks Miami in epic fashion. Bill wouldn't let that happen given our circumstances and heading into an early bye. And Joey took the remote possibility of that off the table early this week when he played the disrespect card for us.

We also had a hall of fame QB coming off the greatest offensive season of all time. Yes, the 2008 Dolphins are significantly worse than the 2007 Giants, but the 2008 Patriots are not the offensive dynamo that last year's team was (at least they haven't been through two weeks).

Don't forget that the spread for that game was 14, at a neutral site. This week we're getting 12.5, at home.

Again, I don't think the Dolphins will win, or even be close, I just think we should have all learned something about speaking in absolutes about victory.
