I'm sure many of you have read it, but I thought it was neat coming from an outside perspective, even if it is an EVIL Dolphin...

From:
Sparano Q&A - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com

Q: After watching film, do you think New England’s offense changed much without quarterback Tom Brady?

Tony Sporano: It looked familiar to me to be honest with you. As I started watching it [film] and with the Kansas City [Chiefs] game you pick up where Tom [Brady] was unfortunately injured. You see Matt [Cassel] come into the game and I don’t think they stopped doing what they were planning on doing in that game. I think they just continued and that is a credit to Matt and him being prepared. I saw it even more in the next ball game, the [New York] Jets game. It doesn’t look like they are doing anything different that way.

Q: What impresses you about quarterback Matt Cassel?

TS: One of the things I have been impressed with is his [Matt Cassel] arm strength. The guy can make all the throws and get the ball down the field. More importantly, I was impressed with him coming into a game [Kansas City] like that, which was a pretty close game at the time, with his poise and how he handled some of those situations that occurred through the course of that game.

Take it for what it's worth, but it sure isn't hurting my confidence level.

Well if it's not Tom Brady, it shouldn't be that hard for the Dolphins.

Ok. let's say they did change the offense what would it look like???

I don't think anyone would know except BB and company.

I'm sure they kept the same offense but got very conservative. At some point they are going to have to go deeper to keep defenses honest. If they don't some corner is going to sit on one of those out in the flat routes. and the defense is going to creep every so close to the LOS. I'm sure they'll starting going deep and add more things each week and take it gradual.

Play action is going to be Cassel's best friend with the amount of runs they do and short routes.

this just proves sporano isn't a dumb coach.

If he said "yes they've changed the offense; they've really shortened the field as cassel isn't good enough to accurately throw the deep ball; oh ya, and they're running it more often cause they don't trust cassel yet" we'd be all over him for talking like a fool (even if it were true)

Newsflash:

Rival coach denies discovering anything on film that he plans to exploit in the next game.

Well...is he saying that to build yp the team they are playing OR???? Maybe it's true..doesn't really matter...

I like Sparano......... I also think he's a decent coach. His problem this year. Even if he finds something to exploit in the game film this week, he probably does not have the personnel to exploit it with.

That good for us.
