Re: OT:Vikings bench jackson

jackson maybe bad but i disagree childress is a good coach. he is quite bad. he took a lot of credit for developing mcnabb and said he could do the same with jackson and traded 2 3rd rounders to move up to the 2nd round to pick him. yet his offensive playcalling has been run twice and then rollout jackson for a throw on 3rd down. childress is horrible. iam sure viking fans will agree.

Its just unbelievable how there are only 32 jobs in all of the world for calling NFL plays, yet 30 of the 32 consistently call plays so stupid that Joe Average Fan can criticize them and tell them how horrible their playcalling is.
You would think in a world where you only have to own a computer and have access to the internet to be an expert on playcalling, that the NFL could find 32 of them that dont suck at it.

well..i didnt mean to say specific plays like we all second guess and criticize with every game ...in my opinion and i have seen a lot of viking fans and minn media who think the the offensive system is inept in minnesota. especially after the coach called it the "kick ass offense" a couple of yrs ago and said it just needs to be executed better. the viking fans actually have a site called Kick Ass Offense | Minnesota Vikings News now.thats all i meant not a particular call or offensive series.whole world knew this far peterson will run the ball up the middle twice and jackson will throw on 3rd down rolling out.

I mean who didn't see that roll out coming last sunday.:singing:

Re: OT:Vikings bench jackson

Jackson flat-out sucks. Frerotte isn't very good either, but they should be a playoff team anyways with him.

2 games to late, they could be 2-0 without Jackson, and they should have found a better alternative.

brad pretty much said he is going with TJ because he is the future, almost putting his job on the line for this guy. it looks like he has wised up. to me, brad childress is a bad head coach. he does not seem to show much modivation, or leadership and has a predictable offensive gameplan. what is really stunning is jackson has the best running game in football and STILL sucks. think of how good AP would be if teams even had to try and stop the pass

Oh well.........:p

i think he has a huge ego. remember how he played games with the injury report mocking BB when we were supposed to play them ? also called BB dishonest for discussing the garrett mills issue

Vikings are mad. They were 109-0 all time when they had at least a 15 point lead at home in the second half! They are now 109 - 1.

I lived in Washington, DC in the early- to mid-1990s and I used to watch Frerotte play for the Redskins. He wasn't very good then. I cannot believe he's still in the league. I am literally shocked.

I heard Kuntpepper is availeable.....

Considering that TJ is only even half-decent at one thing (rolling out, hitting a receiver directly in front of him), the gameplan must end up pretty predictable just as a necessity. I'm going to avoid commenting on Childress' playcalling until after we see him with an actual professional quarterback at the helm (which Frerotte is, I guess).

I don't know, every time I have seen Jackson he has not looked that bad to me. The guy is only in his 2nd year of starting. Gus Frerotte is not going to be any better and he is not their future. They need to work through the growing pains with Jackson.

Eli Manning sucked for 4 years until the playoffs last year and people still blew smoke up his ass.

Maybe McNabb was right.

I saw the second half the the Vikings game against the Colts Sunday and Jackson did look like he was lost in the woods on passing downs.

Who are Minnesota's Wide-Receivers again?

How exactly? Green Bay as of now clearly looks like the best team in the division and the two losers of the Dallas-New York-Philadelphia fight seem to have a strong hold on the two wildcard spots.

I know it's a long season and things change, but I don't think there's room for the Vikes in the postseason. And if they're going to fight their way in they're going to need a lot better QB than Gus Frerotte to knock out one of those NFC East teams.
