I didn't think it was possible, but this guy sounds even dumber then before.

It must have killed him to admit that he was wrong about the Pats last week, I guess thats why he threw in the "might" in terms of making the playoffs. And yet, he has the Pats ranked above all the AFC east teams.

And then you have the Colts who were run all over for the second week in a row, have shown no ground game of their own and would be 0-2 if Minny had a halfway decent QB. And Prisco calls them gutsy and that they are only going to get better.

This guy really is a fool.

Also he writes of the Titans (#5):

"The defense has given up 17 points in two games. If they continue that, does it really matter who plays quarterback?"

Replace 17 with 20 (not a big difference) and you have the Patriots.

I wonder if Pete meant the Colts will only get better when Sanders comes back in week 9...what a package.

He puts the Cowboys as #1, then puts the team that could have easily won the game if the QB wasn't a choke artist @ #12?
What are the qualifications to be a journalist these days?
The Giants were being picked apart by most after all the injuries they sustained, and they're his #2 with wins over the Skins and the Rams?

I don't expect everyone to keep the Pats at the top based on close wins against the Chiefs & Jets, but the logic behind some of the rankings is dubious.

Puzzling that comment about, "They still might be a playoff team." considering he's projected them above every other team in the AFC East.

So he thinks they're going to win the AFC East but only "might" be a playoff team???

Look on the bright side, with logic like that, it's a good thing Prisco is only a sports writer and not responsible for something important like building airplanes or teaching our children.

The only reason the Eagles were in the game is become of the interception that lead to a Eagles score, a botched hand off that Romo Fumbled in the end zone that gave another laughable easy Eagles score and a Ref screw up that called a defensive PI instead of an offensive PI which gave the Eagles the ball on the 1 yard line...soooo that's why they were ranked lower than they were.

I'm not sure what game you were watching, but that was Def PI without any question what so ever. Samuel was all over the receiver. You bring up the Cowboys turnovers, but Eagles had a killer fumble.

I didn't get to see the entire game, but it does seem odd, to point out one team's miscues, while completely discounting the others.
McNabb's botched fumble, as mentioned ended a drive that could have been the go ahead score.
Fwiw, mistakes by the Cowboys should be of no surprise given their history, and the lack of discipline they've showed for some time now.

please tell me you're referring to a different play than the poster you responded to. The receiver had a handful of the defenders jersey as he was going down to the ground. Here in Philly it's become a running joke and the line is that they can't complain about the next bad call because they got a GIFT....

I don't know what penalty your talking about. The one I mentioned has to due with the Eagles receiver pulling on Henry's jersey causing him to fall down on top of the receiver. The was a missed call that was about as bad as they get and it brought the Eagles right down to the 1 yard line-spot of the foul-and in reality gave them 7 points

I didn't point out one teams miscues, fans of neither team seem to do that themselves by saying IF the Eagles didn't do this or If the Eagles would have done that but fail to say the Cowboys gave them 2 touch downs and a bogus PI call that gave them another touch down. The only fluff that the Eagles really made was the hand off fumble. The D Jackson moment didn't matter because they got the ball on the 1 yard line there as well and scored so thats a mute point

Well, we may have to be quiet about that one, yeah, but I'm sure you meant "moot" point. (Or, as Joey Tibbiani would say, a "moo" point!)

The way I saw it was that the 30 yards or so that they were given for that past interference makes up for the 2 face mask penalties that should have been called on that drive. Cancel each other out.

Samuel was not even in the play. You need glasses.
