New York Jets release punter Graham - New York Jets Football - NJ.com

26.5 yards per kick in 4 attemps won't keep you in the NFL for long - Simply pathetic

Feely looks like he might not be too good anymore either as he missed an easy FG early in the game as well - Oh those poor NY Jet bastards :singing:

Anyone want to give our guy Hanson and our perfect boy Gostkowski a little hug right about now?

thread asking if we should bring him in for a look to compete with Hanson in 10, 9, 8 .....

last year he was teh darling of JI.

to be fair Kevin Faulk had some good returns. is that a net average?

Not a good game for him, he had a 29 yard shank and one where he was backed up in the endzone. Leg strength wasn't his problem last year and he pinned a couple of punts within the 5 yard line in preseason.

I think this move is one to give the illusion that management is doing something to get better, but really they are not.

Nothing wrong with graham. The jets just suck.

Boy .. that will teach them to play better ...

Next week the innactive players will get cut.

how about a year and a half of sucking

so they're making Graham the scapegoat

The team worked out three punters Tuesday -- veteran Josh Miller, a former Star-Ledger All-State player for East Brunswick High School, and youngsters Waylon Prather and Reggie Hodges. I'll get back to you on who they sign.

Didn't Miller use to kick for the Pats, is he any good?

Shouldn't this thread be moved to the Visiting Locker Room, you know that place where they send threads to die.

Not that it bothers me, just sayin.

Miller...Hodges...been here done that..Graham has a strong leg....it happens..must BLAME someone....

moorman's net ave is 37.3 over his career and graham's is 37.7. Nothing wrong with his leg.

He still sucks tho. I wanted him out halfway through last year. Week one he was mediocre, the Pats game.....

The punter? That wasn't the reason they lost. They should release the guy that tossed up the interception and cost them the game.

Magina needs someone to blame for the loss

When i saw those two punts in the preseason in the same game, one went out at the 2 and another inside the 5, i thought he was doing ok, plus he does have a strong leg, check youtube, he's belted one 85m in an afl game. Plus the jets gave him a 6 year deal.

I think they were looking for a scapegoat.
