Anyone notice how Pats/Jets isn't getting much post-game attention?

Seeing as how the PATS WON.

Before Sunday it was the most hyped game as the week, the game where Brett Favre and the Jets were supposed to officialy take over the Pats as the team to beat in the East. It would have been the headline segment on every sports show.

Well things didn't turned out as the media planned and now they're treating it like a non-story.

I put on NFL Live, and 20 minutes into the 30 minute program and they still haven't talked about the game.

Also, hear that? It's the entire media now jumping on to the next bandwagon possible, the Buffalo Bills, who may I remind you still have not beaten a team that is not winless. (Not their fault of course)

Honestly, I don't see this team getting any credit until a San Diego/Denver win, depending on who's established themself as the better team when the time comes. Not that I care, but just a warning.

Who cares? There way WAT too much attention surrounding the Pats last year on ESPN. This year, I'd prefer that they actually fly under the radar.

The game was boring. It can be pretty much summed up like this: The Pats ground out a win where the Jets never really appeared that close.

There's not really any highlights, not really any stars making big plays. Nothing to generate revenue from. ESPN is a business and contrarian shock news is their specialty.

I was surpised by it, but happily so. Maybe we can get more Sunday 1pm games out of this when they start flexing.

Most mainstream media is DYING INSIDE that Belichick is as great as he really is. It kills them.

The reason is that we stifled the Farve Love Fest that has been the topic of every freakin' sports/news show in the country.

Oh well.

Well, most of the attention was on the crazy end to the Denver/San Diego game. And as someone just pointed out, the Pats/Jets game wasn't exactly filled with highlights.

Kinda like Week 2 last year - nobody cared that NE had whipped the previous year's #1 seed. It would have been big news if they had lost after SpyGate though.

Thus my year long jihad against the likes of Bunnybrook and the rest of the national sports media along with the uber-hateful/spiteful Tom Jacksons and Marshall Faulks of the world....they REALLY hate this because if BB IS a genius and they have to admit it, and the Patriots ARE what they have always been since BB took over, a VERY SOLID 53 man team, then THEY are revealed to be the small minded, moronic, hatefilled posers THEY have been all along.

Think you might be getting a little sensitive. The Pats game was generally the 3rd sports story after a no-hitter and the DEN/SD game (shoot-out, controversial call, going for two instead of overtime). What did you expect?

Every loss will be a story. Every win won't. Even NFLN has a "Favre week two highlights" video, which is funny.

Was it that time he made AT fall down, saving a safety? Or maybe the time he made Meriweather's palms sting a bit with that "kill the defender witha rocket ball" move? Oh, I know. It was the grab two yards on foot and a bunch more in the air in one play manoeuvre...??

Bah. Either way we should see how well we can fly under the radar. You can bet a loss next week would be huge news and vindicate Jets fans some.

That said... we'd REALLY have to stink the joint up to lose that one. But you know, we'll see.

Funny, I thought that this game got plenty attention of the national media. Cassel's image is on the front page of most of the major sports sites webpages. Clark Judge, John Clayton, Peter King, and Don Banks dedicated a large portion if not all of their primary post Sunday games' articles on the Pats/Jets game.

Face facts. The Chargers/Broncos game was a bigger story by the way it ended. The Colts had a miraculous comeback after getting spanked for over 3 quarters. There were several other big comebacks. There were a lot of other stories that deserved a lot of attention besides the Patriots and Cassel.

Personally, I don't have any issues with the media coverage last night and today about the Pats/Jets game.

The Truth is the media now sees the JEST as over rated as well and is wiping egg from its face. We are not a fun team to watch right now, and RADAR....

US. And thats perfectly fine with me.

Marshall Faulk is still locked up in his bedroom with the lights out.

immediately after the game was over i switched over to ESPN and there was this host who said that matt hassle yes u read it right he said hassle was average........... and then he said that the pats will not win anything etc.......i watched it for like 10 minutes (till they started talking about the sd denver game) and not a single word of praise for BB or pats...............Chris Berman though had positive things to say about the pats...........

I bet you he puts on his 2001 Rams uniform and runs around his backyard replaying that Super Bowl.

That guy defines the word: DELUSIONAL.

I might be misremembering, but at half-time I flipped it to the NFL network and someone commented on the score and another one of them (can't remember who) said "yeah, but it's a day of comebacks!"

Sheesh.

I'm thrilled this is under the radar. Remember last year's Jet's opener? Yeah, I'm not in the mood for the media this year or ever again.

Listening to the amount of Jet/Farve 'ball-washing' that was going on during the Jets pre-game shows in the NJ/NY area one would have believed the Pats were 'stick a fork in them they're done' and the Jets were to be crowned the next Kings of the NFL BBQ!

Someone forgot to tell the Jets that I guess...

Someone was reading the New York Times this morning and I saw the headline: The Cast Changes But You Know The Ending. Bad for journalists, great for Pats fans!
