Yesterday he would have torn sh|t up on a couple of those plays (especially that botched throw by Cassel, Brady would have nailed it).

I feel bad for him. I hope Cassel is ready to start with the long ball soon. You think Moss is pissed, or is he taking this in stride?

lol... no way dude.... moss is not TO..remember how TO was mad at the end of last years regular season when he said he did not have enough passes thrown at him.............. MOSS knows that the pats play like a team, some days you are not thrown at somedays you are the only person receiving

The real question should be, Does Randy Moss feel sorry that I drafted him with the 14th overall pick in my fantasy football draft this year.

No, I don't feel sorry for him. Moss doesn't care about the stats anymore. He's in it to win it. I saw his face on the sidelines as the clock was ticking down and he seemed focused. I didn't see any sign of disappointment. I think he was satisfied with getting the W. Moss' job is to make Cassel look better and to help this team win. He's doing just that so far. Even last year when he was putting up record numbers I don't think Moss got caught up in the stats. Like when he was told he scored 23 TDs and beat Rice's record, he was like really, ok. No it's nothing special.

No...I think that part of him has changed. He realizes that he is part of a team and needs to do his part to help them win.

Not to mention he fully well knows that the Patriots FO aren't afraid to let their productive WR's go (see Deion Branch trade). ;)

I hope you are right. I really like Moss, and I just feel bad for him. He and Brady were like peas in a pod. :(

I feel bad for him. After his monster season last year, he could have very easily have left for more money elsewhere. He stayed, though, and I think a LOT of that had to do with Brady.

In Oakland, I think he learned the hard way that money can only make you so happy.

I hope Cassel can figure out a way to keep Moss from having "oakland type" stats.

You could tell yesterday even if he doesn't care about the stats, he was getting frustrated by tight coverage some plays and just not finishing running out his routes those couple of times.

On that deep ball were Cassel through it short, am I the only one who thought it was a bad pass but Moss could have made the play?

You feel sorry for people who are unhappy. Randy isn't unhappy...

"I don't think there's one person in my face with a microphone that picked us to win today," Moss said with a gloating smile. "So I'm going to go ahead and end [the interview]. The Patriots, two and oh. We got one in the division. So all you haters, keep hating. We coming."

Moss wants to win, THE END. It was probably the second reason he came here (after Brady). As long as we are winning he is happy.

I can't stand when people are always trying to look for crap like this. Moss is fine and his comment after tha game shows he doesn't care about stats. Just that we win games.

Dumb thread

Randy wants to win as a TEAM and does not care if he stands out of not - Stats don't win championships - TEAM unity and solid play from all do

I hope you guys are not stupid enough to not realize that Randy is well aware of what the game plan will involve BEFORE the guys even hit the field - I am sure BB told him yesterday to just help block out there in the short screens and you will catch a few as well but the game plan is the run today

Randy knows Matt is NOT Brady - Will never be Brady and will not throw into double or triple coverage unless he reads the defense wrong or makes a rookie error - The coaching staff should not ever have Cassel forcing ANY throws this year or until/if he gets comfortable enough to do so

Moss will gather in about 15 TDs this year and about 800-900 yards receiving IMO

He could have, but it's tough when you need to turn around completely and the defender is right there.
Moss will be fine. He got frustrated a little last year against Philly and Baltimore when they tried to take him out of the game but bounced back fine. Keep in mind, even though Brady isn't playing, they are still tight and if Moss ever comes close to getting out of line, Brady will set him straight.

Feel sorry for Randy...Hmmmmmmmmmmm let me think about that:

23 TD's - NFL Record
On the team that went 18-0
On the team that broke all kinds O'records.
Trip to the Super Bowl
Seen once again as the best reciever in the league and possible his generation
Workin' with Tom Brady (albiet only one year, 2007 - Still has 2 more years with Tom)
Huge 3 year contract
HAS LOST ONE GAME AS A PATRIOT

I could go on, but No - I don't feel sorry for Randy. He's a captain and so far has acted as such. He's a great leader that will help Cassel and team thru the 2008 season.

If we want to win more games, Cassels needs to know how to throw long passes. We can't depend on our running game to win the game.

They covered Moss most the time.

After what Boldin and Fitzgerald did yesterday to the Fins secondary, I would think that Randy is primed to have a big day on Sunday...........
I believe that he really wants to win and if that means getting doubled leaving other guys open to catch the passes, he's good with that......

I'm not a freaking troll look at all my posts for God's sake. I came here to avoid the trolls at another board last year (Yahoo).

How the fup is it trolling to feel bad for Moss? His best bud is out for the season, and the gameplan is now to use him as a decoy? You think that's what he wants? You think he doesn't miss the games from early last year as much as, if not more than, we do? Of course we hope and trust he will suck it up and play as a team member, but I still feel bad for him.

Moss has shown a lot of class while on the Pats. He has stated in the past how much respect he has for the coaching staff and his teammates. I said this in a different post about the same topic but I do not think he deserves any criticism about his attitude.

With that said the title of this thread asked if people feel sorry for him. He has stated himself that a win is a win. When an opposing team game plans to stop him then the offense with go to other weapons. He understands that. Moss has shown himself to be a TEAM player why would he be upset?

Yeah, another day he catches that ball, no big deal, this time he didn't. I didn't see a replay of it but they did say it was under thrown because he got nailed right as he was throwing it.
