yeah i wonder what A. Thomas said to favre when he sacked him for that huge loss, looked like he was in his face talking some trash

favre said that he and thomas are good friends both being from southern miss..so i guess it was some friendly trash talk..

Looked to me like he was yelling at the ref for not throwing the flag for the helmet being off.
Hmm I thought NFL rules stated you could not remove yoir helmet when you are on the field of play.

I'm not sure Bruschi yelled what a lot of you think he yelled. I hope I'm wrong, but what I heard wasn't "flag".

Bruschi was yelling at the ref, but he also said something very derogatory and it blew my mind because I heard what he said. I had to rewind my DVR because I couldn't believe it. Needless to say, if one of us said what he did, we'd be banned for a week from the boards.

What did you hear him say? I heard him drop the f-bomb telling the ref about Ellis throwing the helmet, but what was the derogatory statement you heard? (abbreviations or acronyms would be fine).

The camera was on Bruschi for 2 of Bruschi's sentences.. The first he was yelling at the ref. The second, he was yelling at Ellis.

In the first, he said throw the F'in flag. In the second, he said "Put your helmet back on you F'in ****** (rhymes with maggot)"

I was honestly appaulled when I hear it.. As I said earlier, I had to rewind it to make sure that it was what I heard.

I heard the same thing he heard. Rhymes with flag but has one fewer letter.

I would love to know what Adalius Thomas said to Brett after Thomas sacked him for that monster loss in the 4th quarter........

Thomas was asking Favre if you get an extra half sack for taking both the QB and blocker down in a single move. It was just a stats question.

I didn't really get past hearing the f-bomb and wondering if NFL Ticket games are unedited and that was not on the network game.

I'm sure Tedy said it in a playful, bantering way (despite the really PO'd look on his face at the time).

I think he mean a derogatory word for gay people. Sounds close to flag. I myself didn't hear it.

i very much doubt it was in a playful way. Sometimes you just can't defend these things.

I was being sarcastic. Given how animated he was, I would guess he meant whatever he said. Not appropriate for a veteran player.

I don't care what Tedy said, nothing is more disgusting than laughing at a guys injury like NY did to Brady.
They deserve every word and then some. They are all rats.

Dude - I'm sorry, but there was nothing playful about Bruschi's remarks.

I think that the biggest issue I have is that the Referees didn't flag Ellis for his shenanigans. Last time someone threw their helmet like that, they were tossed from the game.

I second that....who cares what Tedy said.....preaching on a injury of a human being deserves a big flag....like a kick in the nuts!

I could care less what Teddy said.

DaBruinz-

As stated previously, that was sarcasm. I have no doubt given how ticked Bruschi was that "playful" would not be a word I would use to describe it.

The fact is, we can call the Jets classless but if Bruschi actually throws terms like that out there, we will earn that label as well. It is not a question of whether what the Jets do is worse, it is a question of whether what the Patriots players do is appropriate. Classless is not really a question of degree, and to date (despite what critics may say), this team has conducted itself appropriately.

I am a big Bruschi fan, but if he is throwing slurs he ends a great game on a negative note. Other teams and their fans can hate us, but if he said what you heard that garbage has no place in the game. Beat them physically (as the Patriots did), do not go the name-calling route.

And as a side note (I thought I heard it in the Sirius NFL discussion last year), didn't Ellis get flagged for the exact same thing last season?

It sounds to me like he said "Throw the friggin' flag!"

I don't care what Tedy said. It's football and the Pats are a p*ssed off team. I'd have more problems with a rookie saying something like that than TedyB. After seeing and playing through everything this team's been through I'd say Tedy Bruschi's probably earned the right to not have his rare public fits of passion criticized, least of all by us. Same with Vrabes.
