I know we hate the Jets and him because he plays for them, but really - I was watching with my buddy sporting his Favre jersey and he was gone by halftime. Brett leaving the game on an interception would be a LOT better than leaving after what may become the biggest coaching meltdown in the NFL this year.

I hope he throws lots of INT's and loses every game because he's with the Jets. I hope he unembarrasses himself because he's Brett Favre.

Can someone translate this please?

Re: I admit, I was embarrased for Brett.

I've never been a Favre ballwasher, but I don't dislike the guy. He's definitely one of the games greatest players, so seeing him go down the toilet with the Jets is just wrong, and a sad way to end his career. Those fans don't deserve him, they deserve to have John Rocker or someone as their QB. I hoep it goes as badly as possible for Favre because it's the Jets, but I also hope he can escape and somehow end his career on a higher note. They may not be the worst team this year on the field, but they are they are all around the absolute worst franchise in the NFL.

I agree. It's gonna happen though. Shame for him (it really is), but this bed was of his own making.

Re: I admit, I was embarrased for Brett.

Sorry, kinda trashed atm, do you mean John Rocker as in the Braves baseball player? Amnd if so whats that have to do with Brett....?

Re: I admit, I was embarrased for Brett.

Nvm, i get it now lol

Re: I admit, I was embarrased for Brett.

Hey I don't feel sorry for him,how many times has he said he was going to retire? Then he forces a trade and gets sent to the Jests. He could have retired again. I wish someone would pay me to retire like GB offered to do for Lord Favre.

But Wildos right when he says the Jets don't deserve him.

I admit, I was embarrased for Brett.

I admit, I wasn't... I was happy to see him do his usual stupid throw that gives the other team the advantage. Yeah, I was really happy with that :)

Re: I admit, I was embarrased for Brett.

I would love to, but I'm sober.

I'm guessing you're not or it would be pretty plain what I'm saying there.

See Wildo for longer explanation.

And it looks the the Packers made the right decision, Rodgers has looked good in the first two games.

I was going to add that. Favre has been holding back the future QB for GB with his antics the last 2-3 years.

Re: I admit, I was embarrased for Brett.

I wasn't. If he adds a .500 finish to his HOF career then that's his problem.

Yeah, i don't get why people are saying GB will suck this year, Rodgers and Cassel are in the same situation, both have been learning the offense in the same system for 4 years.

The Jets are not near the worst franchise in the NFL, but they are a much worse team with Favre than the were without him.

A lot of us went on record with being GLAD the Jets signed him.

He is just another example for those who continually say, "We need to sign a veteran QB" that there is nothing magical about a veteran QB and no one "needs" one. What everyone needs is a QB that can get the job done.

The Pats have one, the Jets don't.

By mid-season Favre will have totally proven that he isn't the player he thought he was, and that GB was oh so right to offer him $20mil if he just went away.

The only thing Favre is doing for the Jets is giving them a much better draft pick that they would have gotten with Pennington.

I love it.

Re: I admit, I was embarrased for Brett.

I am not embarrassed at all.

Why? He was the one who DUG himself this hole. He could have stayed retired and rode out into the sunset with his Super Bowl win(10 years ago) and a very successful career.

Now-he wanted to come back SO bad, even if it meant playing for a ****** team.

Again-there's no feeling sorry for him-he knew what he was getting into.

BTW-Jets are much better off with Pennington. At least Chad knows how to manage the game and not make mistakes.

Re: I admit, I was embarrased for Brett.

Ok, you're all misreading me. I don't feel SORRY for Brett. It's just an embarrassing way for a legendary QB to end his run.

Re: I admit, I was embarrased for Brett.

I think he deserves it for his the crap he pulled this offseason.

Now we are all seeing why the Packers didn't want him back. Aaron Rodgers looks great, it would be a sin for him to sit another year behind this moron.
