Re: The Jets Board is so much fun right now

I haven't looked yet - is it good enough to make my pants tighter in that special way? :D
Swivel chair spread? I'm sure you could sit there and read comedy classics all week.

Re: The Jets Board is so much fun right now

When the Jets are 0-3 after next week, you have to wonder if Lord Favre will still be "having fun out there" and "playing like a little kid" whatwith the New York media on his ass 24/7.

I agree completly its one of the first things I though of when Lord Farve signed. He has HX of throwing a lot of INT's,he could get away with that in GB but not NYC.

This season is going to be an epic trainwreck for the Jets. They may not be 4-12, butit's going to feel a hell of a lot worse for a team that will be in shambles by the end of it. Favre will buckle under the media, Mangini will be fired and the Jets fans will be right back where they started and deserve every minute of it. Then they'll draft some first round QB next year, go out and hire a new HC and the "gap" will be "closed" all over again:rofl:

The Jets franchise is prozac for Pats fans.

You mean 1-2. But I get your point. The Jets are facing the Chargers at the wrong possible time. They are going to be out for blood after getting robbed of a victory by the refs today. And yes, the Chargers fans do have a legitimate gripe with the refs unlike Jets fans.

how sweet would it be for eric to be canned this offseason

Re: The Jets Board is so much fun right now

The Chargers season may be riding on next weeks game. They can't go 0-3.
I see the Rats losing.

Re: The Jets Board is so much fun right now

The Jets have to travel across the country to play in some serious heat. Favre said himself his feet were hurting in Miami. Now travel even further in the same heat with the NY media dogging you all week. This isn't a pickup games with friends anymore Brett. Welcome to NY.

They should be 2-0...thanks to Norval the Clown snatching defeat from the hands of victory...TWICE.

They could easily be 0-3 next week, assuming Norval keeps up his "good work".

Re: The Jets Board is so much fun right now

I love reading their forums after they lose against us.
I do too. I've been on there for a while. They go back and forth about blaming the refs, Mangini, Schottenheimer, etc. Per usual, Brett, for the most part, gets a free pass.

Re: The Jets Board is so much fun right now

this one is my favorite so far

Brady OUT.....Maroney OUT.....a quarterback that's never started a game.....at HOME.....we have FAVRE......we are HEALTHY......enthusiastic crowd. This is THE most embarrassing game in Jets history. I've never been more sickened by our team then I am right now at this moment. This was completely embarrassing and this game will be remembered forever. Horrendous loss!!

And that's saying alot....because the Pats embarrass that sorry franchise every year.

I will sleep so much better tonight knowing that swine herd

in New York are gnashing their teeth and pulling their hair out.

It was a great sight to see all those empty seats with a couple of minutes still left in the game.

LOL - jet fan ******s:

found this on one of their boards:

what are we as fans to do? I refuse to just give up on this season--

I'm thinking some form of electronic petetion whereby we craft a statement and send it to Woody, Tannenbaum, Mangini, and the press expressing our disappointment in the play calling and urging a different philosophy or a change in offensive coordinator.

If we get started soon, we can have some ideas by the time of the Charger game. If we see the same **** happen again, we continue working on it. If we see a different outcome in the Charger game, we can decide to abandon the project if we care to.

The task seems to be:
1. Craft a statement
2. Figure out a way to disseminate it

Anyone want to work on this?

I hate Shanahan more than anyone but you gotta admire his balls going for 2

Re: The Jets Board is so much fun right now

I like this post also:

I have been a Jet fan since the 60s. I have made all three of my children into jets fans so that they learn that no matter how hard you work, no matter how good a person you are, no matter how many times you pray, there are some things that you can just never have. Use the Jets as a learning tool."

Kids its all over before it begins.Life suks then you die.

lmao :D good stuff

Re: The Jets Board is so much fun right now

San Diego just beat Denver on the road, only to get hosed because of a whistle that shouldn't have blown. That's going to be one pissed off team next week.

Plus, they might get Mr. Tomlinson back. Even if he doesn't, I agree with your point that the Dolts will be looking to take this out on someone and so, even if Turner plays the grandmothers of all his current team members, they will try to wreck the team that they play next week. Hmmm...I do have a small pity for the Jesters next week. :D
