That is my opinion based on what I've seen of Jordan this year. If I were BB, I'd be giving Jordan the majority of the reps.

Kudos to Kevin Faulk for another awesome performance.

Jordan was better than Maroney BEFORE this game IMO he was just in a bad place like any former Oakland Raider and NY Jet would tell you

Jordan is our new 2008 version of Corey Dillon from 2004

based on this game, i would agree...

HOWEVER, i would like u to keep in mind that LoMo ran at the beginnign of the game, agaistn a D which was not tired at all, where areas Jordan ran ONLY in the 4th, against a tired D-line...

Jordan is very good - he was good in Oakland when he wasn't injured. But Maroney is good too - don't you remember towards the end of last year and playoffs???

I don't understand it, but I have never seen a back consistently get hit 2 yards behind the LOS as much as Maroney does. That can't be his fault, can it?

i would prefer seeing Jordan get the start too.

Watching Maroney getting blown back and dance too much is beyond frustrating.

This team has the feel of 2003-4 and Lamont Jordan seems to fit that a hell of a lot better. We need someone who punishes the defense and always falls forward.

It's too early to judge after just one game, but the signs are encouraging. Jordan didn't dance around todayand seemed to have a good burst. He looked like a 2004 Corey Dillon.

maybe they should save LoMo until the second half of the game.

Lamont is another steal of a pickup imo.

I realize that the Raiders have their running game looking pretty good, but, they simply don't use their talent the way they should.

I think they should try to save him for the playoffs when we'll really need him, similar to what we did with Maroney last year. If we can't get the yards we need without him though, then give him more carries... Despite playing well, I don't think it'd be a wise decision to rely on Cassel to win games for us on a regular basis. We need the running game.

Lean on Maroney early, Jordan late. I agree that LaMont is the better back, having shown what he's made of in Oakland, but being older, I'm not sure he can take a season-long pounding.

I believe the backfield is a nice 4 headed monster that is greatly needed with Brady on IR.

Jordan's pound it style may be more effective against stronger fronts, but Maroney's speed and power is so explosive that 1 play may go the distance. Morris is the ideal backup, dual threat. Kevin Faulk... need I say more? He is the man.

The depth @ RB this team has is incredible.

I'd agree on that assessment and both serve different purposes.

LOMO is big play potentials, speed around the edges.

Jordan is our Otis Andersen who bowls people over. I see Jordan getting a larger role as the season goes on. We need to split the reps to keep all fresh.

You know I would'nt want to say he's better, but I will say he does make the O-line look better..

It seemed LOMO got at least 2-3 yards minimum per carry.

good to see you are back

It's the same as always. Lomo dances but sometimes gets the big run. Lamont doesn't dance (a ala Antwoine Smith) and always gets at least three. The O-line seems to never block for Maroney and he gets caught in the backfield.

Lamont Jordan is an absolute beast.. Only problem is the guy has a bad back, we need to keep his workload down so we can keep him healthy for when we need him the most. I think this was his problem in Oakland they over used him the first have of the season till he couldnt even perform much in the last half.
We gotta keep this guy healthy he adds a great mix up to our running style;)

Thats especially important when the snow starts falling and the wind gets cold to have him fresh to some extent

I agree with everyone that Jordan is the new Dillion. I was shaking my head when they brought maroney back in to get another one of his 2 yard carries at the end of the game. You need to play the guy against his former team. It works everytime.

It's really a tough choice who to play between LoMo, Morris, Faulk, and Jordan. Great problem to have.

The reason Maroney gets caught in the backfield is because he starts dancing in the backfield instead of attacking the line.

good to see you are back

Thanks, but I would say that it's even better to see the real Seymour back. I thought he was our best D-lineman today and he was good against KC too.
