The real surprise is Guyton being activated over Crable.

EDIT: Wasn't paying attention last week, Guyton was activated over Crable then as well.

That is old news. The news is Wilhite over Wheatly. Not a good sign for our #2 pick.

So O'neal is expected to start today?

I just get more and more excited of this signing every day. Last week was a huge positive sign with the amount of field time Deltha got with such short time being here. If the safeties continue improving, this could become the best secondary of the BB era.

wow well hope they can get past that.

I agree. Disappointing. Perhaps it has more to do with ST #s than DB play. Wheatley and Wilhite played NO DEF snaps last week.

If you choose to look at it in a negative way, but maybe it's a good sign for the 4th Rd pick.

i dong think BB was every planning on putting rookie CB's in to start the season...

I think you're right. Wheatley will improve as the season goes on, he'll look better in the final 8 games vs his 1st 8. Same for Wilhite.

Wheatley out, Wilhite in is a real shock.

First it was Bryant and Webster.
Then Hobbs and Bryant.
Then Hobbs and Wheatley.

Now Wheatley isn't even active?
O'Neal is starting, after getting cast off in Cincy?

That is a big concern.

I have to agree. Has any rookie CB played much in the first half of the season for us?

Are we talking about who started the pre-season? Bryant/Webster was never an option for the regular season. It was always Hobbs/??? We also don't know that BB wasn't planning to use LSanders all along, and now that Deltha became available and seemingly is picking things up quickly, he moves ahead of LSanders.

It's unlikely that BB ever intended to start Wheatley, although I admit I thought it was a possibility.

A big concern? Did you not notice him shut Bowe down to win the game last week? I'm not saying I'm 100% in love with the CBs, but I don't think it's any more of a concern than it was earlier this year...

I hear gasps of Guyton over Crable and I have to wonder if people are paying attention..Huyton is a special team player..Crable is limited...with Alexander out Guyton is needed as a backup ILB...Crable is an OLB..I think they like the opetion of a Guyton inside versus moving Vrabel/Thomas inside...
Same with Wilhite over Wheatley...another gasp....Gee special team play again is the reason..Wilhite is far better than Wheatley on teams..so???..no shocker at all...

What's wrong with Wheatley?

So is Wheatley inactive because he is struggling in practice or something? I have high hopes for Wheaties. I thought he'd be the #3 CB right now.

Farve is going to light up the secondary.
