Lets make a trade with Denver for that guy they have who is a pretty good blocker and catches some crucial passes ,I think his name is ... Dan Graham

he was more healthier than watson. watson is a good guy but is hurt too much.

Watson is a disappointment to me, even when he plays i hold my breath that he doesn't fumble. TE in the 2009 draft is a major need.

Belichick needs to go the huge TE that mostly blocks and just catches a few passes route. These pass catching TE's are such a waste of time ... out more than in. Waste valuable draft picks on them for what purpose?

Then again ... he's already on to this with the extra RB this year ... I'm just venting.

Watson is back at practice, I'm expecting him to be in games starting Week 5 after the bye. He and Thomas will make a real nice pair IF they can stay healthy.

Not for nothing, but Graham is always nicked up too. He hasn't ever gone through a full season without some injury and has averaged 13 games a year over 6 seasons. Watson missed all of his rookie season, but since then he has averaged playing 13 games a season as well (3 seasons).

Granted, I miss Graham's tenacious blocking and he is a solid lockerroom guy, but he isn't as good a receiver as Watson and is a whole lot more expensive (5 Yrs/$30M).

I really don't want to whine and rehash the whole thing again but if Graham was still on the team back in February and was put in to help out blocking in the SB I imagine it would have helped Brady with some precious time he did not have much of back then and could have made a difference, but if I dwell on stuff like that I will just live in the past which can never be changed,only improved in the future.

Which makes not using 1 of the 4 end of 6th/top of 7th-round picks in the '07 draft on TE Ben Patrick even more frustrating. He's not a good blocker, either, but at least he could've been a viable option at the position during the 2nd half of last season & so far this season.

I still can't believe how effed-up that draft was.

Agreed. Let's hope that Thomas quickly develops into a real threat for Cassel and Watson stays health enough to give us a few big plays.

Quite disappointed on reading about Watson. Even though I was skeptical, I was hoping that he plays a lot this year, especially after TB went down.

I don't know what happened with Kyle. He seemed to play well for us with his blocking and occasional catching. I wish they brought him back over spach.. but hey, what do i know.

Kyle walked out on the team in mid season last year because he was not happy, but the team convinced him to come back and try to win a ring - He was actually all but gone before the season ended last year and there was NO chance he would have re-signed IMO

Oh, and regarding the release of CJ Jones: it's about dam time. I'm still waiting for the rest of the deadwood - Aiken, LeVoir, Yates, Hochstein, Alexander, Izzo - to be removed.
