Has Brady been placed on IR yet?

I know that ESPN and NFL.com have claimed that he has, but has the team officially placed him on IR. I have yet to see anything from Reiss or the Pats website. (don't worry, I am not clamoring that by some miracle he will play again this year - even though it would sure be nice)

I assume that at this point they've gone ahead and IRed him, but I haven't heard it directly from the Pats or the NFL either.

According to the Patriots transaction page @ NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/teams/newenglandpatriots/transactions?team=NE) Brady went on the IR on the 8th.

I was hoping that Belichick's decision not to try out or sign another QB meant that Brady would be inactive for a while and then come back at the end of the season to lead the boys on to Glory. Alas, Belichick is no where near as conniving as he is reputed to be.

Well...since Faulk was back, the team would have had 54...so??? That would have been a problem..since no other moves wre made, I think it's quite safe to assume that Brady went on IR and Faulk returned..
