What if instead of the injury that Brady suffered in the first game of the 08 season, brady instead is sitting out the 08 season because he wants more money after the insane numbers that he put up last year??

BB will most likely stick with QBs in his system, like Cassel, instead of going out and sign guys like Favre or Penington. BB had brady in the system, so it makes sense that BB will give another QB in their system a chance.

So in a sense the patriots and their fans are fated in this 08 season to be with out Tom Brady. BB did keep the high draft pick last year instead of trading down knowing that Tom Brady is sitting out this season due to contract dispute.

And besides this 08 patriots will be like the patriots after the Tom Brady era, so if they dominate in this 08 season, then the rest of the NFL better watch out cause this patriot machine just keeps rolling.

Iam not saying that brady actually sits out this 08 season, Iam saying in another parrallell universe things could turn out that way. What if Manning sat out this 08 season for the colts, but they still play well enough to play the patriots again in the AFC championship game, that would open the eyes of the NFL knowing that the colts can be successful with out Manning.

What the flying hell???

Wow. I thought the worst fallout from a Brady injury would be the impact on the team and the season, and the trolling... turns out it's the crazy-ass threads that get posted in its aftermath.

You must be on that parallel universe or you are doing your impression of what a hippie is like after a party in the late 60s

If I was the rest of the NFL and after this 08 season, the patriots continue to be the team to beat in the AFC, Iam gonna be pretty scared, knowing that the patriots went with out Tom Brady but yet was still successful.

And if you're a pats fan wouldnt that drown you in joy knowing that the future of this franchise is still bright after the tom brady era?

What if instead of the injury that Brady suffered in the first game of the 08 season, Brady instead is sitting out the 08 season because aliens have taken him and Giselle, as well as Tom and Katie and Brad and Angelina away in their spaceship, to repoulate their currently infertile planet?
Time to remove the tin foil helmet and possibly increase the meds . . .

After the tom Brady era?

You are talking about after the Brady era which may be 3 years away from being over and probably 1/4 or half of this team won't be there by then?

What does that have to do with this years team? - Brady is not retiring anytime soon and this team will change one way or the other - Its called salary cap and FA and retirement for the elder guys who won't be here in 3 years or more.

Re: Brady contract dispute, instead of injury??

I was a patriots fan before tom brady, before drew bledsoe, so the idea of the patriots being a dominate force in the NFL with out tom brady, is very interesting stuff.

Well as long as BB is still the coach.
