Apparently Brady was in the locker room today

Glad Brady was in the locker room today, but why hasn't he had surgery yet? The faster he has surgery the faster he can start recovery. Could he actually be waiting until after this week so he can travel with the team to NY?

Hopefully he gave Randy a "You need to step up and be the leader I know you can be while I'm gone." type of talking to. They seem to be close, I have faith that Randy won't let Tom, or the team down.

Regardless, I love this friggin guy and he can QB this team as long as he wants.

It's not an emergency procedure, if he's still swollen they will wait til it subsides. I had a co-worker that waited 2 weeks before his surgery was done.

They usually wait a week or two for the swelling to go down. Evidently it's OK for him to move around, I would imagine on crutches.

They were talking about it on Dale and holley this AM and the wait can be longer if they decide to do what they call pre-hab prior to surgery, i.e. strengthening the area around the injury or making sure any other minor damage has been rectified so that the actual rehab goes faster. It may have been more swelling related but I recall Rodney's spending a few weeks waiting for his surgery back in 2005.

If you only loved Brady the player and not Brady the man - Now is the time to change your mind - This guy really cares about his team whether he is no longer a part of the roster or not.

I'll bet his chat and pep talk with the guys in the locker room brought some tears to thier eyes,It did me and I am only reading this thread and I was a bit wet in the eyes - Knute Rockne meet your successor - its Tom Brady

I really love the guy on and off the field (from a heterosexual point of view of course ;) )
please tell that to the idiots who after the injury claimed he didnt do offseason workouts so he suffered the injury.

Anyone who thinks training can strengthen and make your knee ligaments stronger from impact needs an enema surgically and permanently attached to thier rectum

I personally have big worries about Moss. He came to play with Brady. If things start going south, will he jump ship?

I am hoping that at this point in his career he can see the forest for the trees. He's still in a class organization, he still has alot of teammates depending on him, and he still has Belichick coaching him. Hopefully he realized Tom will be back next year.

He knows Brady will be back next year.

Bit of subtrefuge in the Pats locker room right now. Word up is that a few players are thinking of offering their personal services 'consoling' Giselle while Tom is under anesthesia for surgery. Pranksters like Matt Light are considering painting "Cut Here" on Brady's right leg or worse (this is a family site). Bastids!

uh, "in the locker room." did they drive a cart around? or was he crutching around on a TORN ACL???????

tommy get back in bed. please.

LOL. I choose to look at this as good news. Tom's tough.

Who are you, Giselle ? :D I'm sure he's following his doctor's advice.

Tommy just use the Crutches on the Field get back in the Huddle:D

Good thing we don't have socialized healthcare. Brady might be waiting a year or two to get under the knife.

I wish there was a pic of him. I'm pretty sure he would be wearing one of those Aircasts to minimize pressure on the affected leg. So when does Tommy boy go under the knife?

Dedication-check
Indication of Recovery Time? dare we hope? :D

He's on IR and that means he's done. Hope for Tommy is reserved for a Full recovery and a great 2009 season.

That's the reality of the situation.

Well, he was in the hospital yesterday so I would hope that he was in a wheel chair and I'm glad I have not seen any pictures of that.

The next time I want to see Tommy is on the sidelines at the Superbowl showing his support for the team.

Don't worry about my boy, Moss. BB will keep him focused. Remember it was BB and Randy's mutual mancrush that got this thing started.
