Predictions for this week against Jets

A 6-point win over Miami hardly a dynasty makes, regardless of who's playing quarterback for Tubby Ratfink and the Green Beans. But don't be too hard on your team, they have a better-than-normal chance to keep up with the Patriots because Tom Brady is injured and won't play.

I have to say that Tubby Ratfink is the funniest name for Eric Mangini out there and is the only thing that has made me LOL today.

Pressure is the name of the game here, folks. We're going to have to pressure Favre the way the Giants pressured us in the Super Bowl. If we can repeatedly knock Favre on his ass, this game is our's. Let's not forget that the Dolphins actually came within a few yards of beating the Jets this week.

Unlike the Pats who had there game wraped up by 1/2 time.

Jets won ugly, Pats won ugly.

I'll take an ugly win any time over a pretty loss.

True Pats won ugly but that was because they suffered a major emotional shock during the game when their Franchise was injured and had to rely on their completely untested backup QB to run the O.

The Jets won ugly but did so with a Hall of Fame QB guiding them on O and allowed the phins to come within 18 yds of the game winning score.

Point is the Pats have an excuse for winning ugly. The Jets should have killed thw phins.

No the Jets should not of killed the fish, 7 new starters for the Jets, division road game, 110 on the field, QB on the team for only 4 weeks.

I know the Jets were expected to win and they did, but who was predicting a pretty win?

Patriots 37

Jets 10

A season dedicated to Tom begins Sunday in the Meadowlands......

Just to be clear here. I am not saying that the Jets are Dynasty in the making.

I know that, and you took the bait despite my post being delivered quite obviously tongue in cheek. Besides that, it would be impossible for Tubby Ratfink and the Green Beans to become a dynasty the way they've gone about it.

The "The day the Dynasty died 9/14/08" is just smack talk stating that the Jets will put an end to the Pats Dynasty.

Sorry, but you get 0 marks for cleverness on that and even fewer for balls, considering that Tom Brady suffered a season-ending injury yesterday. If you want to talk smack, come up with something interesting.

I wonder if Mangini will shake BBs hand after the game?

BB likely wants to avoid smelling like slimey cheese, so probably not.

The Fish had to give up on the run because they were down by 10 points.

If the Jets get an early 10 point lead the Pats won't be running the ball either.

I like the idea of a 14 to 13 nail biter.:)

A 10 point lead is no time to give up on the run especially if the lead is gained early. A 10 point lead in the fourth quarter is one thing. A ten point lead in the second quarter, you don't change your gameplan. The Dolphins ran twice in the second half. Even when they got down by 13 in the third, it was too early to abandon the run.

As for the close score, I am realistic to think that Cassel is going to struggle a bit and the Pats are going to have to win this on defense.

I predict Bill will mention the Jets front office commenting on the injury of one of our players and in affect dancing on our grave.

Pats 2-0.

A sarcastic smiley would of helped me there

So what, I suck at internet smack, I still give myself an A for effort.

Go pet your ****sie Cat Man.

The day the Dynasty died, 9/14/08

Look my lowered expectations for the Pats is well documented here. But let me ask you this: what if the wounded Pats beat the NY Bretts this weekend? Then what? What does that say about your chances of getting ahead of us? It says the Bretts are a lot further behind and just about hopeless at this point. Do I think we're considerably worse off without TB? You betcha, what fool wouldn't? But can we still take it to a team like the Jets? Fuggin' A we can. Right now Pats fans are wearing the long faces, we'll just see who's faces are long Sunday evening around 7:30.

Well having a lead will often help dictate what the other team will try to do.

JMHO, Not to mention that having Jenkins at NT is huge for the Jets run D. I expect the Pats to do a better job running the ball.

Pats, 24-18

Here's my prediction:

I didn't have time to do a good job, but it adequately states my position, none-the-less.

Pats 21-14. Even with Cassel, we still have a strong team. The Jets may suddenly have the QB edge, but Favre is good for a couple of interceptions and we will stop the run. Ball control ftw.

Tubby Ratfink - LMFAO Tuner!

You get a Tommy Point for that one! Patriots play a hard fought game in the Joisee Swamp and get a hard fought 14-10 win...... Just End The Season.

I wonder if Mangini will shake BBs hand after the game?

Yeah, sure, right after he pulls the knife out of Bill's back and apologizes for being a sleezy Rat underboss for Goodell.

:rocker::rocker::rocker:

Brilliant, and accurate.

Hopefully the Pats go down to Jersey and play like they did against SD week two last year.
