He is absolutly right, its sucks about Brady , and losing him in the prime of his carrer.. We are going to live and die with Matt Cassel... We also will be more of a running team.. all of the RB will be active.. The Secondary needs to step.. But we need to move forward, or this yr will be a 4-12 yr..

I dont want a 4-12 team, this is not a 4-12 team.. this is still a 10-6 and hopefull a 11-5 team...

Lets look forward, its not going to be the same and its Matt Casell's team..

Oh heck yes!

For anyone else that missed it, both SD and Indy LOST yesterday, much to the chagrin of their lap dogs in the media. Peyton must be pissed as all get out losing to Orton and Da Bears.

Plus let's not forget that the Jets squeaked by MIAMI, of all teams, so the first weekend augurs well for a Cassell-QB'd team.

I am feeling a LOT more positive this morning than around 1:30pm yesterday. We will have a much better perspective on things come the bye week.

I think you are right. There is no reason not to look forward and be hopeful. The Patriots are in a relatively weak (though improved) division and with exceptions of the Colts, Steelers, and Chargers have a rather manageable schedule. There are also 52 other players on this team, most of the active players yesterday played quite well for week one. What happened to Brady is horrible, but football is the ultimate team sport and I still think that NE can have a great season.

Also, lets not forget............ Everyone assumed KC would be a "practice game" and besides being a little anemic at QB (with Croyle anyway), they actually played better then the doormat every thinks they will be. Defensively anyway, they have some talent. Not that they are a 10 win team, but they'll be somewhere in the 6-8 win catagory.

Point being, even as shell-shocked as we played, we still moved the ball pretty effectively at times. If we start coming together, I have no doupt that we'll have a very servicable team this year capable of winning plenty of games.

I think again the team was in shock yesterday and if it was any other team yesterday, the pats would have lost.. But it was the chiefs, and now they have time to regroup and play the hated jets..

I, like most everyone who's a Pats fan, is extremely upset and disappointed by what happened with Tom yesterday.

But I'm not all gloom and ooom. I think we still have a great chance to make the playoffs with all of the talent surrounding Cassel. This really could be 2001 all over again.

In the meantime, heal up Tom, rehab that mo-fo as soon as you can, and we'll see you when you are healthy.

If Randy Moss was shell-shocked, he sure as heck got over it by the third play with Cassel under center.

Truer words were never spoken. If there is one person who can keep the team from looking backwards, its BB. I would LOVE to hear his motivational speech at the next team meeting.

Does anybody else think that it's funny how the some media types are handing the Jets the AFC East now? It sucks that Brady's down, but c'mon it's still week one.

Your dreaming. We would have likely beat 10-12 other teams yesterday. Cinci sucked, Jets, Fins, Indy, SD, Jax, Rams, Seattle and San Fran all looked rather ordinary and we would have been able to play with most of them.

We didn't play our best ball certainly, but we did get ~340 yds offense and 124 running. Obviously, KC's D is weak, but not overwhelmingly weaker than alot of the teams I mentioned, least from what I saw.

It's not over by a long shot.

im not saying its over, just the team was deflated...

the team , the fans, everybody was drained yesterday.. We all just assumed we would win that game..

But now we have time to regroup and rally around Casell

We have a legit reason to assume the role of underdogs once again: No respect, show 'em all, us against the world, etc.

It worked before, so maybe we can get some mileage out of it again.

Big green rats to stomp this week. In the AFCE, only the Bills concern me, which they did before Tom's injury. Win the division, everything else will fall in place.

Why does everyone forget the Bills? I would see them as the favorite right now. They beat Seattle whom we're a playoff team in 07.

Bills look very good in all three phases. They are the AFCE team-to-beat IMO. I thought they were a wild card team before yesterday, and between how they looked and Brady going down, if I were a betting man (and I am) my money would be on the Bills to take the division.
