With Brady gone for the season the undefeated and superbowl or bust talk is gone..I really think this team will rally behind Cassell similar to 2001 when Bledsoe went down. The pressure is off no one will think the Pats can win the superbowl without Brady and already we are underdogs to the Jets..This is just one more unfortunate situation, but the Pats seem to respond to adversity better than most...

I agree.

One game at a time.

You have to rally behind your QB no question we will have to see how MC does as a starter, i'm going to say pretty well with all of the weapons

wake up, you're dreaming

This is an example for the MODS.

Is there a possibility to keep new members from posting for a certain period of time? 1 week? 1 Month?

I'm not saying it's a permanent thing, just until we are thru this Injury.

I agree with the poster...now they can REALLY play the disrespect card..which has a pretty good track record around here..

I've said it a few other times..."lulled into a false sense of security" comes to mind. Teams see Brady out and the automatically think they can just shut us down...I think the other members of the offense (and defense) will have something to say about that.

QB get's too much credit and too much blame....football is truly the ultimate team sport.....

I have to agree with you. We now are an unknown to many teams. Do we get the pre-season "JV" Cassel or do we get the Brady/Dilfer type of game management season?
We have talent to make the playoffs, I just don't think Cassel is anywhere near the 2001 Brady. Brady had swagger and confidence back then. I am sorry, Cassel seems to me to be a "What else is there to do so I might as well do this", guy.
If we lose the next two games, Cassel is gone and we go with O'Connel or Simms etc.
It would be interesting to say the least. Less pressure? Yes. We are now considered an also ran. See the tabloids.
