First of all, I am sick to my stomach. I hope TB is OK for his as well as our sake. Given that, how odd is it that Matt Cassell got almost all the reps this preseason, nevermind that the PATS kept 4 RB's. Almost seems like BB saw the future....:(

HE is all powerful. Seer and Technician ........ etc.

I was just wondering about the whole Public Relations spin that we are being handed.

Bear with me here, if Tom was to announce his retirement, the screams would be heard to the Golf Courses in Scotland that he & his dad play on. (SI interview, "Tom, ready for camp?" "I would rather play golf with my dad.")

So if new daddy Tom, wanted to chill with baby boy, and pretty girlfriend, what would BB & Bob Kraft do, say ok. lets announce it. RIGHT:eek:
1) Tom didn't work out off season @ Gillette, 1st time in 10 yrs
2) Stated many times, its just football
3) Had a Career high last year, sans ring, of course, but he has those anyway
4) This years schedule is PERFECT to train Cassell on
5) He leaves the 1st game with a knee injury, leaving his trainee Cassell as a Hero to pick up Superman's cape, when it is tossed to the ground.
6) interviews with the vets after, just don't add up!

I don't know, but I hope we are seeing BB greatest PR blitz of all.

Cassel will be fine

I've been saying for a while he'll retire early. But he'll also be pissed about this and come back for a few more years, I bet.

I'm surprised this post wasn't also about drafting a QB in the third round.

D NILE IS MY FRIEND!!!!:snob::rolleyes:

now that u mentioned that...

is Gutz in any PS or roster? if not i see him added to the PS very quickly

don't you wish now that all last year instead of trying to run up the score on opponents that Bill actually let Cassel get into a game?

maybe bill should have looked into his crystal ball last year instead of trying to pad brady's stats.

The idea last year was that, with three new starting receivers, playing full games would give the passing offense needed experience for the playoff run. Not to "pad Brady's stats."

I'm not sure garbage time is real great for a QB... look at Jim Sorgi in Indy. He's played in lots of 4th quarter blowouts and 16th game intentional losses, but he probably never got the quality of reps he needed for real experience until he ran with the #1s in preseason this year.

EDIT: Welcome to the board newbie.

1) Tom didn't work out off season @ Gillette, 1st time in 10 yrs False. Brady didn't spend the ENTIRE off season at Gillette. He did, however, spend time there. He was there for the rookie camps and he was still in shape come TC.

2) Stated many times, its just football Brady is a compeitor. Saying its "Just football" to him is like saying that its "Just Beethoven's 3rd Orchestra" to a concert Pianist.

3) Had a Career high last year, sans ring, of course, but he has those anyway What does this have to do with the price of tea in China? Or the Pats for that matter.

4) This years schedule is PERFECT to train Cassell on. Lets see, they are going to put more time and effort into developing Matt Cassel above and beyond where he already is when he's a UFA at the end of the year and they just drafted another QB in the 3rd round? I don't see that one necessarily, but its possible.

5) He leaves the 1st game with a knee injury, leaving his trainee Cassell as a Hero to pick up Superman's cape, when it is tossed to the ground. Again, considering the type of competitor that Brady is, none of what you are saying makes any sense.

6) interviews with the vets after, just don't add up!
What about the interviews "don't add up"?

I don't know, but I hope we are seeing BB greatest PR blitz of all.

Well, the time to put all the development into Cassel would have been last year when they were running up the scores all over the place. That way Cassel would have been the most prepared possible.

I think that most of your stuff is just pulled out of thin air to try and explain things that just aren't explainable by fans becasue we aren't entitled to all the information.
