Is it possible that Belichick's half-time speech in which he told his team to expect to play without Brady for the rest of the season may have had a chain reaction that has fueled all these reports? Players were fed the line, told the media he was done (Dilfer report, some others), media speculates its ACL, Silver runs w it, Borges runs w it, Schefter picks it up, nobody wants to miss out on the party.

Since when does injury news get leaked out of Foxboro?

I'm waiting for some MRI results.

I hope you are correct!!!! Just too many negative reports though. Basically everyone has said he's done.

I think you are, but I'm right there with ya, buddy. :(

I'm also waiting on tomorrow's results......but, I'm not optimistic.....

on the flip side, if it turns out he just misses the next couple games it'll seem like xmas x100.

by the way, I WANT brady back, but this IS a team sport --- and I'm not just bull****ting about that to cheer myself up.

It still seems like if he could walk off the field, the injury CAN'T be THAT bad, right??

yes yes yes deny deny deny.....

I refuse to believe it until I see those faithful and Sh*tty letters (IR). until then he is coming back.

In an era where any hack writer can make up sources and publish in places like The Herald, I wouldn't put it past the media to run with little evidence. Look at how huge Spygate became when it wasn't as evil as people thought. The Pats were punished for recording what the entire viewing public can see on TV or in a stadium, yet the media blew it totally out of proportion.

I was pretty much in denial as well until I seen the still picture of Bradys knee going in another direction. I'm no doctor by any means but I would be suprised as all hell if Brady makes it back for the playoffs.

Damn straight it's possible, and I also think it's possible some lower level employee or guard overheard something a trainer was saying as the door was closing out of context or something, like "Gonna have to go without him" meaning for today, taken to mean all year.

I REFUSE to believe it as well unless confirmed!

also, BB seemed to be in a somewhat cheery mood after the game??? If Brady was truly done and BB knew it, you'd think he would be a bit more somber........again, just looking for anything good signs at this point!!!!

I don't get it. When have we ever believed the media outlets in regards to this info? Did everyone forget about Mortensen last year when he said Eli Manning separated his shoulder and would miss a month... and then he didn't miss a game? http://www.fanhouse.com/2007/10/06/bad-information-on-nfl-injuries/

I think we should wait until the MRI results are released and we get official confirmation from the team. Enough about these "unnamed sources" and "anonymous players" until we get something official.

This is the same thing I've been thinking tonight. Do the Pats suddenly spill the beans a couple of hours after an injury like this? Where are these "reporters" getting their info. He won't have an MRI until tomorrow. I'm so ticked off about these idiots trying to be the first with the "season ending news".:disagreement:
I'm hoping for the best. Maybe out for the first 5 weeks. If Tom is out for the season, I still want to see him at the games, and know he is involved. And, I still think we have 52 other awesome guys out there. This team is not just one man. I was so looking forward to watching him play today, :(

Great, now NFL.com has a big "breaking news" headline "Lost for the Year"
ARGHH!!! Can we at least hear it from the docs and the team?

It doesn't look good right now with all the reports, but until the New England Patriots confirm Brady is gone for the season, I'm under the impression he'll be back in a few weeks.

It's just like when TO attempted suicide.

Don't believe the hype. 4-6 weeks. He'll be back.

I'll join you in the denial boat until the MRI confirms the media speculation. Hell even half a season of Brady would be better than no Brady. No joke but if you believe, let's pray for Brady's health. Pats nation needs you Tom!!

Note that it's not his plant foot ........... he should recover fine for next year .............. I'll also wait for the MRI ................ but only because Brady might not want to IR.

Does he have that choice? Can they get him patched up in 6-8 weeks enough to throw a ball decently again?
