Re: Jets fans are cheering Brady's injury.....

Actually more then half the NFL's fanbases aee celebrating so its not fair to just say Jets fans. I believe in the bad karma thing and while I did not celebrate or wish Brady to get hurt, im no fool and im happy it happened. A lot here were celebrating on news of Merrimans potentially career threatening knee so dont act as if you guys would never act the same way

"More than half of the NFL's fanbases".....very official--did do you do a poll of all fanbases? A lot on here were not celebrating Merriman's injury either. Very unclassy post by this poster but I will NOT imply that you represent all Jets fans.

Re: Jets fans are cheering Brady's injury.....

You're not a fool, you're a douchebag. "Happy it happened"? Happy one of the best ever to play got hurt? You are a scumbag.

sorry, extremely poor wording on my part. I was not happy but I realized the opportunity presented by a Brady less pats in 08.

Re: Jets fans are cheering Brady's injury.....

I absolutely wouldn't cheer an injury for anyone in the NFL, I'd rather see my team beat their team straight up.

However, it's a simple fact that people on here would be happy if someone like Manning went down...that isn't condemning the site as a whole and my guess is 90% of fans wouldn't want to see someone hurt, but it would happen, no doubt in my mind. To the extent that Jets fans cheer about it? Eh, hard to say...I'd probably say no but that might be my bias showing, but when the internet is involved and there is no worry of reprecussions (i.e. a broken face) people show their true colors and, quite frankly, many people are heartless and nasty.

Whatever, I'll take our 52 (excluding Brady) over any other teams' 52 (excluding their QB). We'll have to see if Belichick's confidence in Cassel the past few years was misguided or not.

Re: Jets fans are cheering Brady's injury.....

Let's be honest with ourselves, how would our reaction have been if Peyton went down. So STFU.

Sorry, but I have never took any pleasure in another team's player getting seriously injured. Never. Never will.

Anyone who is happy that their team is more likely to win their division because the team that was more likely than not going to win it having a major, season ending injury is just ignorant. Hoping it ends a player career is just sick.

Read some message boards and its quite apparent. Rams, packers, Raiders, fins, bills, vikings all had the same vibe.

Re: Jets fans are cheering Brady's injury.....

I don't want to beat the Colts without Manning in the lineup. It would not mean anything. To be the best you have to beat the best. Get it.

Re: Jets fans are cheering Brady's injury.....

I can’t believe any of you would be surprised. These are the same fans who cheered when their own quarterback went down last year.

Celebrate as you wish....Karma will continue to bite all jests fans in the ass. Maybe now you know why your team sucks so bad.

We'll be fine....

As a Jet fan you should understand karma. Your team will never win anything, Jets fans don't deserve it.

Would have been classier than this.

im not going to get into a pissing match b/c I could bring up several examples why the Pats have more bad karma then anyone in the league. I understand it sucks right now, I honestly feel sorry that Tom went down like that. I really wanted to see Favre vs Brady.

Re: Jets fans are cheering Brady's injury.....

I actually just went over to Gang Green to see what kind of posts there were...it seems about 50% of the posts seem giddy at the prospect of the Pats without Brady--most talking about karma--while the other 50% are more normal (either not saying they're happy or just saying they wanted to see the Pats at their best).

What I found hilarious is that Jets fans are now, almost to a man, writing off the Patriots. They seem to think their convincing win (in which Pennington had a chance to win the game on that last drive) over the worst team in football shows they're now the class of the AFC East.

Amazing...I'm actually looking forward to next Sunday, shut those jackasses up with Cassel at the helm. I'm very confident this team, even with Cassel taking the snaps, is better than the Jets.

Re: Jets fans are cheering Brady's injury.....

No one was happy about Merriman. Most of us were saying we don't want him to play so he doesn't end up in early retirement.

I do wish we had grabbed Pennington when he was available, though. Nothing against Cassel, I just find myself liking Chad ever since he shed that green jersey.

They're more or less happy because they actually have a shot at winning the division now.

I'd be pissed off as it deprives spectators of watching truly great players. The great thing about playing Indy is playing against a great team and future HOF QB. This is the main reason I enjoy beating them. It means something.

Major injuries to anyone are not to be trivialised.... no matter who it is.

guarantee, this is what other teams fans have been praying for. they knew they had no chance with brady in there. i remember the d-bags on espn hoping for this last year. the jets fans where we watched were a disgrace to the human race. they were cheering and hoping brady was out for the year. not surprising. they are lower than whale dung. from what i've seen so far today, all this does is bring us back to the pack. after what i witnessed today, i will definitely be cheering when other teams players get injured.

You speak for yourself douchbag, you don't speak for me.

I don't wish injury on anybody.

We know you would don't be a ***** now.
