Can We Block Guests on Game Days

I remember someone asking this before. We have like 2000 guests on the site clogging it up for the 400+ members trying to discuss our beloved Patriots. Happens every game day and it's a real pain in the butt. Sorry ... just needed to vent ... perhaps some of those guests will become members and maybe even donate to the bandwidth they suck up on us.

I have to agree with FBN and Mr. Biggles. The fact that the site gets mobbed with several thousand "guests" is ridiculous. It ruins the experience for everyone. If you want to be here on game day, register. It doesn't cost you anything.

No guests and certainly no new member authorizations on game day.

Just added a mod that limits guests to 10 thread views before being forced into logging in or registering. Hopefully that helps, and it already seems to be as it's speeding up as we speak. - Ian
