PFT: Jets say it's a torn ACL

since he hasn't had an MRI yet, I don't know how it is possible to know this.

HOW in the world would the Jets know what's wrong with a player who is not on their team? What a piece of **** Organization they are.

Just to be fair I hope the Pats give Favre whatever Brady has.

The Jets are such a piece of s*it organization. This comment is wishful thinking on their part. Fact is, they beat the worst team in the NFL by a hair today and they know it. Nobody knows what this injury is yet -- let alone the Jests.

There's a physical exam that can give a good indication of whether the ACL is torn. If the trainers determined it was likely torn, with the incestuous relationship between the franchises, it is likely the information got over to players and/or coaches on the Jets.

F!ck the Jets. We will still win the division even if Brady doesn't play another snap this season.

Dude I will laugh till I die if Cassel beats the Jets.

They know wit's the only chance they have to win (if they have one) so it's wishful thinking.

Brady's leg was taken out. He apparently screamed in pain. He was unable to return to the game.

Why is it noteworthy that the Jets are assuming it's an ACL injury, and why is this even remotely something to be badmouthing the Jets about?

Brady does not play for the Jets, and they should not be publicly speculating on his injury, IMHO. None of us know how badly he's hurt. I've never seen anyone in our Organization make this type of public speculation about an injury of a player that does not play here. It speaks volumes about how classless that Jets organization really is, IMO.

BTW, ProFootballTalk isn't reporting that the Jets know the extent of the injury. ProFootballTalk is reporting that Tom Curran of NBCSports.com is reporting that the Jets know the extent of the injury.

In another thread, it was pointed out that the crew did a test for ACL when Brady was on the field. If it had been positive, I doubt they would have let him walk off the field.

Aren't the Patriots the next opponent for the Jets? Wouldn't the Jets be negligent if they DIDN'T take a "look, listen & feel" in an attempt to figure out the playing status of the #1 player in the NFL, who happens to play for the most closemouthed team in the league?

IIRC, there was no cart for Tank Williams, so I don't think this means anything.

Because assuming and publicly discussing are not the same thing. It's poor form.

This is just about people looking for reasons to complain. It's a complete non-issue.

False.... Tank Williams didn't recieve a cart. Not to mention, didn't Rivers PLAY on a torn ACL. I believe Jackson walked off the field after he tore his ACL a few years ago.

This is very, very, bad.

The Patriots will allege on Monday to NFL Commisioner Roger Goodell, that an employeee of the New York Jets, after wheeling-in, unseen, an MRI machine into the New England dressing room, just seconds after the Brady 1st quarter injury, was able to illegally steal an MRI image of the star quarterback's injured left knee. The Patriots will further state that the Jets employee, Matt Shea, then communicated the dire ACL diognosis by cell phone to the Jets players at Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami, Florida. Shea is also an assistant medical trainer for the Jets in addition to his videotaping duties.
