Finally the season is getting underway and Patriot Nation can again get cheer for Brady and the team. Fans have been waiting since that infamous Superbowl day in early 08, having been shelved last year with Brady's injury. The team did exceptionally well, despite his absence, but this year, it's revenge and Brady is leading the charge.
The first game of any season is always a mixture of anticipation, optimism and surprise as in it's the first time a team is playing all out to win...

It's now four days after the trade and I am still feeling like there's really something missing with it. Something just seems amiss in the way it went down. The aftermath only throws question marks at it as well. Yesterday, some things have come to light, but really I think more a quick glimpse of the iceberg as opposed to a real view, which may never be seen.

For now, the roster puzzle has been solved, but there is usually some tweaking, even in mid week. The roster that has been pared to is usually not the roster on opening day. In 02, 03 and 04, a player was cut and the team started with only 52 players. In 05, the roster was the same going into Game 1, a real oddity. This game without about the Patriot's top thirty or so best players, was nonetheless very interesting. It was played with emotion and with many ups and downs. Most of all, a lot was learned about the many back up players and on the down side, it seems as if there was a season ending injury to one on the team.
