- 13th seeded Shakira and Ana Ivanovic finally met their matches with Marisa Miller and Beyonce Knowles respectively

- person with the highest margin of victory in the SWEET 16 was none other than 12th seeded Hayden Panettiere, whose victory over Eva Longoria made her the first 1 seed to fall

-biggest surprise of the round, Jessica Alba and Megan Fox were tied after 42 votes at 21 apiece, with Jessica moving on ever so slightly with the benefit of the tie breaker advantage
