some notes about the second round.......

-first and foremost, the three lowest seeds that survived the first round (Shakira and Ana Ivanovic (13), Hayden Penattiere (12)) have also survived the second round.

-Shakira and Ana Ivanovic actually had an easier time with their second round opponent than their first round opponent. This was also true for Christina Aguilera.

-Naturally as the rounds move on the matches should be closer.
In the first round, there were 14 matches in which the winner reached at least 80%, 4 matches which the winner acquired at least 90% of the votes out of 32 matches.

In 16 second round matches, only 2 (Marissa Miller, Christina Aguilera) topped the 80% mark with neither of them reaching 90%.

-The most surprising result of the second round may have been how closely contested the Beyonce-Nicole Scherzinger match was. I did not see that coming.

-all 2 and 3 seeds are still alive and meet in the SWEET 16

-MARQUEE MATCHUP TO WATCH IN THE SWEET 16:
2.) Elisha Cuthbert vs. 3.)Jessica Biel

I'm gonna go ahead and say that this was a result of these three being seeded way lower than their actual hotness would indicate rather than any serious upset.
