So the whoe fact that Airbus is better and cheaper has nothing to do with it.

BTW Northrup-Grumman is an AMERICAN company, ask anyone from Long Island.

So it is bad for McCain to have people who used to work for a giant AMerican defense contractor, but it is "not an issue for Obama to have a blame America lying racist pig as his pastor, "spiritual Advisor" and member of his campaign staff.

Keep trying to deflect, it is really working for you guys.............

Another intolerant, hate filled rant, do not get the fascination with is pastor, is he on the ticket?? I would expect more from those who enforce the rules, but then again it is a two tiered system..

using starwargeek's logic, the reporter of this article hates all europeans, for questioning the influence of aero lobbyists.

Lets get one thing clear. Grumman isn't building anything. Airbus is gonna make an A330, it'll fly all by itself over to the USA and then Grumman will put a fuel tank in, paint it gray and deliver it to the Defense Department. These tankers aren't newly designed planes. They were going to be 767's, to replace the existing 727's doing the job today. Now they are going to be A330's. The 727's are 40 years old. You can expect their replacements to last as long. You can also expect to see Boeing out of business before that time period is up. What you can't expect is a private company being able to compete with a government owned company that only has to pay its loans back if its ventures are successful. Boeing will fall and then we're stuck with relying on the French to supply crucial equipment to our military in perpetuity.

My head is spinning here - are those who'll criticize anything done today wanting the best product/$ spent or is the DoD contract a jobs program now ? I want U.S. jobs as much as anyone and, honestly, would probably pick the latter of the two options I presented but we all know the haters here would be critical if we picked the lesser cost effective option.

McCain's ties to Airbus could cost him votes in Kansas

The candidate named his book after a sermon made by the Pastor. He sat in the congregration for 20 yrs while the Anti America and Anti White bigoty spewed forth. He even had his children in the church listing to the bigotry each week. No one required he do this. HE did so of his own free will.

So what does it say about Mr Obama that he chose to do this? How does one accept his line of being a uniter not a divider that he choose to follow the teachings of a bigot. If McCain went to a church run by a member of the KKK it would raise a legitimate issue as to what type of person McCain is and would he be fit to be the president.

WOW!
You're the one hijacking this thread. A "moderator" who doesn't understand the concept of the term "THREAD".

Try to focus, Einstein. This thread is about McCain. McCain, the guy who promises more jobs but delivers them to the Europeans..Yep, that's the guy I want to stick up for us! What's more anti-American than giving jobs away to other countries?

You're a cop, right? ...With union protection and civil service, pension, job security....nice, huh? ...so finding a job and feeding your family is not an issue for you. Good for you. There's lots of Americans who want good jobs that don't involve the service sector. They want to use their skills to make something.

Isn't better a subjective term... not sure what that means.. meanwhile all the papers in Europe are heralding their winning of this contract.. guess they built a bridge overnight.

One of the reasons I do not like McCain is his relationship with lobbyists..
