Default Cromartie-McKelvin neck and neck for #1

EastCoastSportsNews has a dead-heat for the #1 corner and even better, their mock has DRC headed to the Pats.

That mock is ugly overall and taking DRC at 7 is just too high. With his size and experience I don't think he can start day 1. At this point depending on how FA goes. We need someone who can start.

DRC can't start from day one? Please tell me you're not Scott Pioli and that you're not serious. Saying DRC can't start from day one is the same thing as saying Cason, McKelvin or Jenkins can't either. Wow !

Not necessarily, after all DRC played at a lower level of competition than the other top cornerbacks.

So that explains why he is the one of the top two rated corners right now? Whoa............

Two lastest mocks have RoCro going as the #1 corner to the Ravens

In general, DRC did play against a lower level in college. But he dominated in the Senior Bowl, which features about the highest talent level in college you can find. So I think that evens out. I'm starting to like DRC as a prospect. But hopefully between 10-12, not at #7. For #7 money you might as well try to resign Asante.

DRC taken at #7 would not even be remotely close to the kind of money Asante is going to make.

I still prefer McKelvin. Right now. It can change of course.

Me too. If we have to stay at 7, and Gholston and the Longs are gone, I like McKelvin. It's funny, but I just have a hard time picturing a taller CB in a Pats uni (irrelevant, I know).
