They finally simmed the idea I suggested--the Bears trade up to get Matt Ryan, and give the Pats #14 and #45 in return. (Now all I need to do is get them to sim a trade where the Pats get Son-of-Howie
).1. CB Mike Jenkins 2a. CB Charles Godfrey 2b. LB Jerrod Mayo 3a. OC Mike Pollak 3b. OLB Bruce Davis 4. FS DaJuan Morgan 5. WR Dorien Bryant Thoughts?

Quentin Groves is not even a first round selection in their draft, while Texas RB Jamaal Charles and Illinois RB Rashard Mendenhall are?

The only possible trade I see out there is if Jerry Jones really wants to trade a king's ransom for McFadden. I wouldn't count on it.

1) Jenkins isn't as good as Talib or Cason or DR-C, for that matter. 2a) I think Godfrey would be a reach here. There are other, better CBs that should be available at that point. 2b) Goff is better than Mayo for the Pats defense. 3a) Dexter Jackson would be better at this point than Pollak. 3b) No qualms with Davis 4) The Pats don't need another free safety. He doesn't seem like a Patriots type player in all honesty. 5) If they don't take Jackson earlier, then I could see Bryant. Or someone like a Danny Amendola. |

Jamaal Charles isn't thought to be late 1st round/ early 2nd round talent. Groves is also thought to be the same. Everyone can't be drafted in the 1st round. |

DRCromartie is the tallest, most athletic, quickest, fastest corner in this draft with the best ball skills. He proved with his great Senior bowl and his athletic dominance yesterday that he's the cream of the crop and the #1 corner.

Cromartie's problem isn't his athleticism. It's his lack of production at a small school. With his skillset he should've been tearing apart receivers and quarterbacks at his level of competition, but the numbers just aren't there. However, I heard he had great interviews with the Patriots. It's too bad we don't have the 31st pick anymore, he'd be the perfect guy for there. Last edited by primetime; 02-27-2008 at 11:00 AM. |

Of course, if Denver trades for Rogers or Robertson, as is being rumoured, then Ellis is likely out of the equation. They could trade up for Clady, I suppose, who fits their scheme well. They could also stand pat for Williams, who protected Cutler's blindside (somewhat) for Jay's last year-and-a-half at Vandy. |

I like this draft, if you trade out Goff for Mayo.
After watching Gatewood, another Vandy LB, at the combine, I would not mind him as a possibile sixth or seventh round pick. |
