Simple question, really.

I put the odds at ~25% or so, because I expect the Pats should be able to trade down.

Pretty arbitrary question, haha. I can see realistic scenarios on both sides, so 50% seems about right to me.

I chose 50% or so. If McFadden falls to New England, they could swing a trade with Dallas. But that is highly unlikely. I think they will move down a spot or two but nothing more.

i heard that all the top 5 teams are trying to trade down because the draft is so deep so teams like the cowboys could make a trade to get mcfedden or jake long and if matt ryan dont fall i think the pats will have to use the pick

I think you are all assuming it is easy to trade higher picks. It's actually a lot harder unless you get a team that is looking for a specific player and is willing to throw in the kitchen sink for it. the only way we trade the pick is if it's a real bargain for someone else. If it's a real bargain I would rather just take the #7 pick ourselves.

General manager Jerry Angelo met with agent Eugene Parker in the morning and they huddled again throughout the evening working on details of a contract that would bring the first-round pick from 2003 back for what has been said will be a quarterback competition involving Kyle Orton. A source said it will be a one- or two-year deal and includes incentives based on playing time and performance. Re-signing Grossman was one of the organization's top goals when it arrived at the combine Wednesday.

Jerry Angelo does not believe that teams need a good quarterback to

win in the NFL. He also does not want to pay out Tom Brady type money.

Well then they can just keep waiting for their league to be historically bad and make sure they have a great defense and no injuries. What a blueprint.
